Today, Payday Records’ South London rapper Yung Fume releases his latest single “Again,” following the release of his last EP Too Much Wave 2 which dropped in August.
“Again” catches the listener’s ear immediately with an ethereal and echoey choral sound in the background, complimented with stand-out deep bass punches. Fume’s flow highlights the intensity of the instrumentals, opening with the line, “I just made some profit, it’s logic, double again”- the song is an ode to the glory that comes with the guts of the music industry.
Between the bass, fast 808’s, and Fume’s tenacious lyrics, this is the classic baller’s anthem. Titling the song “Again” highlights the importance of consistency in the music game, a proclamation that Fume must keep grinding and getting the bag, time and time again.
“It’s about doing something and being able to do it again,” Fume says about the track, “That’s the only reason I do this!”
Fume has been grinding nonstop over the past three years releasing projects that include his most recent Payday Records debut EP Level Up in March produced by Atlanta hitmaker Zaytoven along with a trailblazing iOS arcade-style mobile game called ‘Yung Fume Level Up!’ (soundtracked by two songs from the EP “Zone” and “Life I’m Living”), Too Much Wave 2, Too Much Wave, Noughts and Crosses, Noughts and Crosses 2 and Noughts and Crosses 3, along with his crossover rap/pop banger “Watch me Flex” being remixed by both Tinie Tempah and Wizkid. He recently went viral with an in-studio clip laying down a new track with Chicago rapper, Lil Durk. Also headlining London’s O2 Academy, and major festival performances at Wireless Festival and Shard Fest, he continues to make big strides in the industry as the years progress.
