UK Duo Prospa Reveal New EP “Rave Science Vol. 2” With the Release of New Track “Voyage”
Legendary UK dance music duo Prospa announce their forthcoming EP, “Rave Science Vol. 2′” along with the first single from the project, “Voyage.” Very few UK artists have had such an impact on the return to live music as Prospa. The London-via-Leeds duo have tirelessly toured the country’s festival and club circuits since their reopening, bringing with them a slew of new music ready to make its mark for the first time.
Among these tracks is their soul-rendering electronic anthem “WANT NEED LOVE,“ an uplifting omnipresent force through car stereos this summer, and now a fully-fledged singalong moment at the likes of Warehouse Project and as they headline the North Stage at 2021’s Field Day. With the nation’s re-emergence on to dance floors, Prospa are ready to cause damage once again, announcing the follow up to their acclaimed “Rave Science Vol. 1″ EP with a brand new single, ‘Voyage’.
The Rave Science ethos is the bring the stadium sized energy of Prospa’s work and distill it, creating tracks that sound as at home in sweat soaked basement venues as they do in cavernous warehouses. ‘”Voyage’” is a perfect distillation of this mission statement; with a processed break as it’s rhythmic centrepiece, vast ambient textures and a dizzying synth line that disorientates as much as it hypnotizes. The track builds towards a stunning apex with distorted bass tones and a suitably infectious vocal sample, spotlighting Prospa’s deft ability to create wildly imaginative works of club euphoria from seemingly nowhere – taking cues from the past while abstracting them enough to feel completely future facing.
“Voyage” and the forthcoming “Rave Science Vol. 2 EP” are stunning examples of Prospa’s distinct club energy within their compositions; full bodied enough to cause a visceral reaction on the dance floor, yet inviting enough to attract massive crowds nationwide. With club’s reopened and the UK’s hunger for new, boundary pushing sounds at an all-time high, now’s the perfect time to reacquaint yourself with Prospa, the duo repurposing rave euphoria for a new generation.
