Genre-defying artist Ted When is back with a new single.
Today, Motown/Blacksmith Recordings released “Eyes Closed,” a track from Ted When’s forthcoming EP. The song, which the former Mansions on the Moon frontman wrote with producer DJ Equal, offers a wistful look back at a previous relationship and the words that were left unsaid. The vibrant, dreamlike visualizer, which premiered earlier today on Wonderland, was created by Los Angeles-based artist Mishko.
Ted When says, “‘Eyes Closed’ is about unrequited love. That feeling of regret in never telling a person how you really feel and thinking about how things could’ve been different.” “Eyes Closed” follows Ted’s debut solo single, “Edge Off.” In this interview with THE FADER, he describes how his move to Nashville – and the ensuing sense of isolation – led him to write “Edge Off.” The Music Ninja praised the song as ‘remarkably relevant during the current global landscape.”
