bülow Releases “Get Stupid” Music Video

Award winning and multi-platinum pop iconoclast bülow has released a music video for her new single, “Get Stupid,” today via Wax Records /Republic Records/Universal Music Canada.

Watch the video for “Get Stupid” HERE.

The track is off the JUNO Award winner’s latest EP Crystalline released earlier this year and was produced by Mike Wise, who produced several songs on the EP. When discussing the accompanying video for the song whose concept was envisioned by the singer herself, bülow commented, “When I was younger, I wanted to be an inventor, to create things. I think everybody strives for the feeling of self importance, trying to find their ways to be remembered. My character created a flying device, it didn’t work out, but that wasn’t the end.”

The German-born Toronto-based artist, who made a name for herself with the smash hit, “Not A Love Song,” is set to take the stage at multiple festivals this summer including the iconic Lollapalooza in Chicago and Osheaga in Montreal, Canada. This summer’s festival run follows bülow’s SXSW,  Bonnaroo and Bunbury Music Festival debuts earlier this year. In addition to finding success through her own musical endeavors bülow appears on the GRAMMY Award winning duo The Chainsmokers latest single, “Do You Mean,” and performed the track on The Today Show in New York City’s famed Rockefeller Plaza in June of this year. And while bülow’s summer is packed with festival performances, the singer-songwriter has no plans of stopping as she’ll be re-joining Lauv’s tour this fall after supporting the singers tour dates in Asia earlier this year.

BÜLOW RELEASES EP DAMAGED VOL. 2

Critically acclaimed German born pop iconoclast bülow releases her anticipated new EP, Damaged Vol. 2 [Republic Records/ Wax Records] today. Listen HERE.

Of Damaged Vol. 2, bülow comments, “Writing Vol 2 has given me closure to my teenage years, and especially my high school experiences. These songs reflect my life over the past few years and allow me to move on to adulthood. I know I’m not done being a kid, but it feels good to finally put these fears and emotions to rest”

To advance the EP, bülow shared “SAD AND BORED” [feat. Duckwrth] last Friday. Today, she releases the official visualizer for the song, HERE.  “SAD AND BORED” was met with rave reviews, PAPER saying, “It’s the perfect pop study in contrasts, and further confirms bülow as an artist to watch with razor-sharp wit to boot.”  As well as HillyDilly calling her “one of the brightest new talents in pop.”

In addition to “SAD AND BORED,” the new EP boasts the stark and soulful “You & Jennifer” as well as the shimmering and vulnerable “Honor Roll”, full track listing below.  This summer, she takes this enigmatic sound on the road, launching a full-scale European festival takeover. Check out the confirmed dates below.

After releasing her powerful debut Damaged Vol. 1, bülow has instantly resonated with critics and new fans alike.  The tracks “Like This Guy”, “Lines”, and “Not A Love Song” have clocked over 30 million streams, reaching the Spotify Global Viral chart and earning praise as “beautifully crafted” (NME), “pop genius” (Noisey), and a “star in the making” (Pigeon & Planes).  A child of the globe, the bright-eyed young singer has grown up in five countries including Canada, Germany, the UK, the US, and is currently finishing high-school in The Netherlands. Although bülow has only just begun her musical journey with these three sentimental, playful, and haunting tracks, “Damaged Vol 1” stands tall as an impressive flag-bearer for things to come.
