CREED II World Premier

Metro Goldwyn Mayer Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures hosted the World Premiere of CREED II last night at the AMC Lowes Lincoln Square.

Guests included Director Steven Caple Jr., Michael B. Jordan, Tessa Thompson, Dolph LundgrenFlorian “The Big Nasty” Munteanu, and Sylvester Stallone.

United Talent Agency (UTA) is proud to announce it now represents multi-award-winning artist, actor, activist and producer, Common in all areas worldwide.
Common’s work in the critically acclaimed film Selma earned him an Academy Award, a Grammy Award, a Golden Globe Awardand a Critics’ Choice Award for his single, Glory, featuring John Legend. He most recently was nominated for an Academy Award, a Grammy Award and a Critics’ Choice Award for his song, Stand Up For Something, which he co-wrote alongside Diane Warren. Common joined musician Andra Day in performing their Oscar and Grammy-nominated track, Stand Up For Something, at the March For Our Lives anti-gun violence rally in Washington, D.C. He is also a part of the Recording Academy’s newly formed Diversity Task Force led by former Chief of Staff to Michelle Obama, Tina Tchen.
Additionally, Common has appeared in multiple roles in both major films and television series. His previous features include John Wick: Chapter 2 alongside Keanu Reeves, Selma with David Oyelowo, Suicide Squad alongside Will Smith, Viola Davis, and Margot Robbie and Barbershop: The Next Cut with Ice Cube. On the television side, he has appeared in The Chi,The Mindy Project, and The Simpsons. Common has a busy Fall with two major studio projects set for release; Warner BrosSmallfoot and the highly-anticipated Fox film, The Hate U Give. His film Three Seconds is set for release in early 2019.

Eric Bana (MUNICH and currently starring in THE FORGIVEN) is set to star opposite Connie Britton (NASHVILLE, FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS) in the first season of Bravo Media’s scripted anthology series DIRTY JOHN, based on the articles and breakout true crime podcast of the same name from Los Angeles Times reporter Christopher Goffard.  Marking his U.S. television debut, Bana will star as John Meehan, a handsome and romantic charmer who sweeps Debra Newell (Britton) off her feet and pulls her into his web of lies.  The series chronicles the true story of how a romance with Meehan spiraled into secrets, denial and manipulation.  DIRTY JOHN is produced by Universal Cable Productions (UCP), in association with Los Angeles Times Studios and Atlas Entertainment, and will be executive produced and written by Alexandra Cunningham (CHANCE, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES). Richard Suckle and Charles Roven will serve as executive producers for Atlas Entertainment; Mark Herzog, Christopher G. Cowen and Chris Argentieri will serve as executive producers for Los Angeles Times Studios; Britton and Bana will also serve as executive producers.

Bana was first introduced to American audiences in the title role of Mark “Chopper” Read in the feature film CHOPPER, which premiered at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival and was then released in the U.S. to critical notice after its Australian success. Bana earned awards from the Australian Film Critics Circle and the Australian Film Institute for his portrayal of “Chopper.”

Bana was seen co-starring in Ridley Scott’s BLACK HAWK DOWN as Delta Sgt. First Class “Hoot” Gibson, one of a group of elite US soldiers opposite Josh Hartnett, Ewan McGregor and Tom Sizemore. The war epic, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer for Sony, is based on journalist Mark Bowden’s best-selling account of the 1993 US mission in Mogadishu, Somalia. Shortly thereafter, Eric starred as the title role of Bruce Banner in THE HULK for director Ang Lee and Universal Pictures, based on the Marvel Comics character. He was also featured as Hector the Prince of Troy in Warner Bros.’ TROY, for director Wolfgang Peterson.  The film was based on Homer’s “The Iliad”, and co-starred Brad Pitt and Orlando Bloom.  The following year, he starred in Steven Spielberg’s critically acclaimed MUNICH, about the aftermath of the 1972 Munich Olympics.

Bana’s other credits include J.J. Abrams’ blockbuster hit STAR TREK, Judd Apatow’s FUNNY PEOPLE opposite Adam Sandler, Seth Rogan and Jonah Hill, the action-thriller HANNA with Saoirse Ronan and Cate Blanchett, and LONE SURVIVOR alongside Mark Wahlberg. He can currently be seen in THE FORGIVEN, opposite Forest Whitaker, directed by Roland Joffe.

Digital Networks, and Verizon’s mobile entertainment destination go90 today announced the psychological horror anthology series “Two Sentence Horror Stories” will be premiering on October 3rd exclusively on go90. “Two Sentence Horror Stories” marks Stage 13’s second series to launch on go90.
 
The critically acclaimed “Two Sentence Horror Stories” has enjoyed unprecedented recognition from major film festivals, including Tribeca Film Festival, LA Film Festival, Outfest, SeriesFest and Fantastic Fest and won the FOX Inclusion Award at this year’s Outfest.
 
A fresh and provocative anthology series inspired by the viral fan fiction of two sentence horror stories, it taps into universal primal fears — death, abandonment, and loneliness — filtered through the anxieties of the most connected and racially diverse generation.
 
Created by Writer/Director/Producer Vera Miao (“Best Friends Forever”), the series’ episodes each has its own director: Miao and acclaimed horror directors Danny Perez (“Antibirth”), JD Dillard (“Sleight” and upcoming “Sweetheart”) and Ryan Spindell (“The Babysitter Murders”).
 
Each episode is inspired by its own horror story told in two sentences and uses the genre as of way to weave in social horror and a range of contemporary issues including racism, LGBTQ, cyber-bullying and the pursuit of beauty. The five-episode series will be available on go90.com, part of Verizon’s global media portfolio of video content and platforms with a new episode available every Tuesday starting on October 3rd.
 
“Two Sentence Horror Stories” episodes will premiere every Tuesday in the following order:
 

  • “Ma” (directed by Vera Miao): When Mona falls for Erica, the new neighbor next door, she learns how far Ma will go to keep her “perfect” Chinese daughter home.
  • “Snap” (directed by Danny Perez): A notoriously cruel celebrity blogger dismisses a mysterious foe as harmless…until he wakes up to a video of himself sleeping on his own phone.
  • “Guilt Trip” (directed by JD Dillard): After picking up a victim of police brutality, a Good Samaritan is forced to rethink her decision on the dark and isolated road with the stranger in her car.
  • “Singularity” (directed by Vera Miao): After a transgender biohacker implants revolutionary technology into her own body, she is terrified to discover she can tap more than just the internet.
  • “Second Skin” (directed by Ryan Spindell): When a street-smart young woman accepts an invitation to a luxurious spa, she discovers just how far the powerful patrons will go to stay on the cutting edge of beauty.
