KATORI WALKER SHARES “DOLLA SAVE ME” MUSIC VIDEO

On May 13th, 2019 Los Angeles rapper Katori Walker revealed his new music video for his latest single Dolla Save Me, watch it HERE.

The song can be found on his recently released, Stubborn EP. Get it HERE via Capitol Music Group.

Once again, the artist delivers a captivating visual befitting of the music. This time around, he takes over a different kind of church. As the congregation takes turns spitting his rhymes, collection plates of stacks bounce across the pews. However, tithing goes the other way in this case! Highlighted by a gospel-style chant, his signature storytelling, and nimble flows, the clip mirrors the song’s dynamic spirit and soul. It also illuminates just how much he stands out from the pack, merging old school word-craft and modern experimentation for a sharp style of his own.

Stubborn attracted unanimous praise straight out of the gate. Hypebeast named the project among its Best New Tracks and described it as a well-balanced showcase of his storytelling talents Earmilk posited, The tracks on Stubborn incite the kind of emotions only hip hop titans like J. Cole can tap into. Highlighting Dolla Save Me HipHopDX said, Katori works the keys like a locksmith to create everyman music to dance to. Putting it best, Billboard called the EP, his strongest and most vulnerable work to date.

After closing out a successful run supporting Vince Staples, Katori hit the studio to finish up his debut album coming very soon.
The 2019 West Coast revival begins with Katori Walker.

Rap music can affect more than the culture; it has the power to change the world. Just ask Katori Walker. He picked up a mic with a purpose in 2017. Clocking in at barely 10 minutes, his independent five-song Ignorance EP offered a powerful portrait of gang-related gun violence following the murder of his brother Ormoni. The video Ormoni generated 4.2 million views as it surpassed 1 million Spotify streams in addition to being featured in Eminem’s Untouchable lyric video. It topped Spotify’s Most Necessary Playlist for four weeks in a row. Watch him make a difference in hip-hop and the world.
