Maggie Lindemann x Travis Barker “Friends Go”

On Maggie Lindemann‘s latest single, ‘Friends Go,’ the 20-year-old treads the line between modernist and throwback. The starlet embraces this duality with the help of Blink 182’s Travis Barker by putting a punk twist on the recent single which explores feelings of disconnect at a time in which technology has made people closer than ever before.

“I wanted to do a version of friends go that had a bit more of a punk feel because that’s my favorite type of music,” Maggie explained. “When I first recorded the song, I wanted to do multiple versions. I feel like the song is very versatile and wanted to kinda explore different genres! I love the Travis version, it’s one of my favorite songs I’ve done.”

Maggie Lindemann has been adventurously investigating her sound and identity since breaking through with the global pop smash ‘Pretty Girl.’ From that track’s laser-sharp pop focus to the darker, revealingly vulnerable recent tracks ‘Human’ and ‘Would I,’ Maggie has demonstrated a brave desire to tackle bold new ideas while amassing over a billion streams.

“Friends Go” commences Maggie’s build-up to her first full-length project which is set to be released later in the year. The video for the song garnered over one million streams in 48 hours. Maggie has begun to emerge as an icon of her generation, with over a billion audio streams, 175 million views at YouTube, 6 million followers across her social platforms, and an international array of Platinum awards. Most recently touring stateside with Sabrina Carpenter she’s also performed with Khalid and Troye Sivan.

Maggie has been further celebrated in the world of fashion. She launched her single ‘Obsessed’ with an innovative partnership with the make-up brand Pat McGrath and recently teamed up with Skinny Dip for a sunglasses collaboration. She’s also unveiled her own merch line in the shape of SWIXXZ, which is now being sold in stores by skate apparel chain, Zumiez.

HIT SINGLE “I’M SO TIRED” WITH TROYE SIVAN SURPASSES OVER 225 MILLION STREAMS & CURRENTLY #25 ON TOP 40 RADIO AND RISING

PLATINUM-certified independent singer, songwriter, producer, and pop visionary Lauv unveils new track and music video for “Drugs & The Internet” today! The song marks the first release from the singers highly anticipated debut album titled ~how i’m feeling~, which will see him continuously rolling out singles before its release. The video, directed by Jenna Marsh (Nicki Minaj, Kanye West) sees Lauv getting pulled from reality into a digital universe. BUY/STREAM “DRUGS & THE INTERNET”

Speaking about the meaning behind the song and video, Lauv said, “I wrote Drugs & The Internet at a time I was struggling with feelings of extreme emptiness and depression. I wrote it as a sort of self-analysis for my obsession with the way I wanted present myself to the world ; a commentary on the world we live today. It is as much self-deprecating as it is serious and sad. It flew out of me in an hour. It felt more therapeutic than any song I’d written before. As the first song off of my album ~how i’m feeling~, it is the perfect entrance into the next phase of my life and music. I am more proud of this song and video than anything i have ever created in my life, and I’m so excited that it’s yours now.”

Earlier this month, Lauv announced his “~how i’m feeling~ (autumn tour, 2019)” and due to overwhelming demand and quick sellouts, he added a 3rd date in Los Angeles, a second date in NYC, Boston and Oakland. The 19-city run is set to kick off on October 5th in Washington, DC, and hit cities across US, UK, Europe, Australia and wrap on November 11th in New Zealand. LOREN GRAY SHARES TWO NEW SINGLES “OPTIONS” AND “LIE LIKE THAT”

Honda Stage Launches Loren’s First Live Performance Videos Today

Download / Stream “Options”  / “Lie Like That” HERE

Self-made phenomenon Loren Gray released two new singles today: the sinuous, pulsating “Options” and the haunting “Lie Like That.” She teamed up with Captain Cuts (Walk the Moon, Halsey, The Chainsmokers) to write and produce both tracks, bringing in collaborators Nija (Jason Derulo, Chris Brown) on “Options” and Australian artist Ivy Adara on “Lie Like That.” The two-track single is available HERE.

Honda/Uproxx has been following Loren since last November, covering some of her biggest career “firsts,” including her Forever 21 Times Square billboard reveal, her first Christmas at home in Pottstown, PA after signing her deal with Virgin Records, her first performance of an original song on stage (“Anti-Everything” with Lost Kings) and more. Loren’s first-ever live performance videos will launch later today as part of the Honda Stage program. Watch her preparing to shoot the videos in this new episode. As an artist in the Honda Stage program, Loren follows Universal Music Group label mates Troye Sivan and Jessie Reyez.

To date, Loren’s songs have racked up over 50 million cumulative streams worldwide, including 20 million for her recent single, “Queen” Idolator praised the “empowering new single” and noted, “The 16-year-old made a good first impression with the perky ”My Story” and then showed serious pop star potential on the fiery ”Kick You Out.” That upward trajectory continues with the arrival of Queen.” In this interview, Loren told ET Live, “The message of this song was so important for me to get out to my young female fans; to embrace being a strong independent woman.” View the official video for “Queen” HERE.

About Loren Gray

Loren has been obsessed with music her entire life. Growing up in the Philadelphia area, she began playing piano at a young age and spent her childhood listening to everything from classic rock and country to heavy metal and hip-hop. At 15, she uprooted herself and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music. After cutting six records as an independent artist, Loren landed a deal with Virgin Records. In August 2018, she released “My Story,” which debuted at #1 on the Spotify Global Viral Chart and now has more than 15 million streams. Writing of the follow-up single, “Kick You Out,” Billboard said, “The song’s contrasting vibe effortlessly shows the true highs and lows that come from being in love.” Loren is currently at work on her debut EP.
