“Just Ain’t Christmas” candidly captures the pain of a Christmas Eve break-up while the playful double entendres of “Open Mine Tonight” celebrate what goes down after the kids go to bed. “Talk About It” evokes childhood Christmas memories, complete with the inevitable family dramas that unfold – “somebody gon’ fight, somebody gon’ cry, somebody gon’ try to leave/Then they gon’ squash it all right before it’s time to eat.” NE-YO, Satori and Dre Island each take a verse on the reggae-influenced “Christmas Vibez,” which imagines a tropical holiday getaway for two. Other guest artists include Candice Boyd on “Carol Of The Bells” and RaVaughn on “Someday At Christmas.”

 

NE-YO puts his stamp on such standards as Donny Hathaway’s “This Christmas,” “Merry Christmas Baby,” originally recorded by Johnny Moore’s Three Blazers, and “The Christmas Song,” which was written by Robert Wells and Mel Tormé and first recorded by the Nat King Cole Trio. He recorded Another Kind Of Christmas in Montego Bay, Jamaica with longtime collaborator Curtis “Sauce” Wilson producing many of the tracks.

RELEASE EYE-POPPING VIDEO FOR “FUEGO” FT. TAINY

Today marks the release of the fire-filled video for “Fuego” by DJ SnakeSean Paul Anitta ft. Tainy — a track from multi-platinum producer DJ Snake’s dynamic new album Carte Blanche. The feature-length presentation marks the first-ever partnership between HBO Sports and Red Bull Films, telling a story that begins on October 16, 2015, the date of Basagoitia’s traumatic injury, and unfolding in real time through raw, intimate footage — much filmed by Paul himself — of the agonies of an unpredictable journey and uncertain future. Directed by Fernando Villena, the film features a chorus of other diverse spinal cord injuries (SCI) survivors, shining a light on the struggles that Basagoitia and all SCI patients confront every day, and the hope that drives them.

The film debuts Tuesday, October 29th at 9PM on HBO.

Nick DiGiovanni is a 23-year-old recent grad of Harvard, who was the youngest contestant to ever compete in the finale of MasterChef. He started cooking when he was only eight years old, and started working in restaurants in high school, including an internship at Benu, a Michelin three-star restaurant in San Francisco. He ultimately decided to forego culinary school for Harvard, before deciding to leave for a semester to compete on MasterChef and ultimately make it to the finale.

During his time at Harvard, Nick created the first-ever food concentration called Food & Climate, to figure out ways to address the environmental crisis through food. That then led to the start of a new business venture called Voodles that would help revolutionize the way kids eat vegetables. Co-President, Pete Nordstrom, along side of corporate partners hosted a tour for retailer’s newly largest single project investment in their history. On Oct 24th, Nordstrom will launch its first flagship in Manhattan since the 1920s. An exclusive onestop shop adjacent to the Nordstrom Men’s store located on West 57th street & Broadway. The seven-level flagship store, designed in collaboration with James Carpenter Design Associates, forms in the base of the ‘tallest residential building in the Western Hemisphere.’ With 320,000 square feet, it will embody an experience which is responsive and reflective of its customers. After all, a great design encourages people to stay longer and shop more. And, with 19-foot ceilings, it’s an open canvas for an interchangeable yet flexible floor plan.

The new floor plan allows for discovery, with range to explore and transition through brands freely that they haven’t experienced before. The infrastructure is designed to funnel natural light through transparency with floor to ceiling glass, intertwining the shopping experience to the city’s skyline. The atrium possesses a waveform glass façade which allows for interaction from customers inside and out. Chain-mail veils and lighting installations lend character to the location, reflecting the city’s cultural events as well as major holidays. 

“A rapidly growing younger consumer who’s engaged has emerged,” asserts Pete Nordstrom. Instinctively creating a new culture and how we shop that’s relevant to life experiences. Today one-third of sales are e-commerce, which represents 30% of Nordstrom’s business.

For over 100 years, the retailer has stood the test of time. The climate of brick and mortar for many retailers have shrunk and/or has become nonexistent.
