Global streaming star Aquilo today release their new single “Silent Movies”. The new single follows 2017’s “I Could Fight On A Wall” and “Thin” from ii (Side A), the first half of their highly-anticipated second album. Aquilo also announce today that ii will be released in totality on May 4th and is available to preorder in CD and vinyl formats.

In November 2017, Aquilo made the bold decision to split their second album into two parts, releasing the first five-tracks of ii as the ii (Side A) EP. Aquilo are truly stars of the streaming age, with their tracks consistently amassing over a million streams. ii continues Aquilo’s progression from bedroom-based laptop producers to constant, inimitable innovators, and with two sold out London shows under their belts and a sixteen-date European tour to come, Aquilo are undoubtedly set for a massive 2018.

Hailing from the UK Lake District, Tom Higham and Ben Fletcher first introduced themselves as Aquilo in 2014 with their larger than life cinematic sound, and have since released three EPs and debut album “Silhouettes”, produced by highly regarded Icelandic producer Ólafur Arnalds and the ever brilliant SOHN. With tracks “Silhouette”, “Sorry”, “You There”, “Losing You” and “Never Hurt Again” gaining well over 110 million plays on Spotify alone. Aquilomade their U.S. television debut on Late Night With Seth Meyers in March 2017.

After a year of releasing critically acclaimed tracks, “RIIICH, (which was co-written byRyan Tedder) heralds the arrival of Grace’s forthcoming debut playlist, 21 & Motley—out today on Spotify. Reflecting her sonic nimbleness, devilish charm, and general fusion of all genre’s – pop, rock, alternative, electro, and indie, the 21st & Motley collates brand new music as well as 2017 fan favorites such as “French Becky, “Come Back For You,” “Capital Letters,” “NOW,” “Cali God” and “Kids Ain’t All Right.”

Check out 21st & Motley Here!

To further talk about the project Grace has written a manifesto not only for 21st & Motley but for herself. Describing her evolution as an artist and vision for her sound as only Grace can describe it. Read the full manifesto here.

A sample of the letter reads: “21st & Motley is a place in my mind, a location I’ve been searching for through my music. I’ve been releasing my songs in a single-based order wherein each song is a different road to the same destination. A destination that doesn’t exist but one I’m slowly discovering though all parts of myself. Taking this journey to a fictional pinnacle has taught me a beautiful lesson in patience and surrender, bound by circumstance and fate, all roads are me. So often we need to choose a destination to allow ourselves to journey at all.”

Finally, Grace is taking the new music on the road as she joins St. Lucia, Eugene Mirman and more on Spotify and Hulu’s “Stream Yourself Out. The Tour.” Kicking off in Boston today the tour hits DC, Philadelphia and New York City. See full tour dates below and RSVP for the show here.

Grace Mitchell is a force to be reckoned with. This summer she went on tour with Foster The People, opened up for Tove Lo, performed at Lollapalooza, Coachella, joined Muna on tour and recently St. Lucia. Press have included her in some of the coveted must watch lists including: Elle Magazine’s “Women in Music,” Refinery 29’s “The Z List,” V Magazine’s “Headliners” and named “Lorde’s Heir Apparent” by Entertainment Weekly – all in the past year.

At only 20 years old she has already made a name for herself in the industry with her hit track “NOLO” performed on the international Apple Music Festival opening for The Weeknd, CMJ, SXSW, Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo & Coachella, performing with JoyWave, St. Lucia, Tove Lo and Muna on tour, and having “Jitter” crowned “World Record” by Zane Lowe – she continued to dominate with her critically acclaimedRACEDAY EP. Portland raised Mitchell signed to Republic Records in 2013, and officially entered the race with her cover of “Maneater,” which appeared on the soundtrack to the critically acclaimed The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Her debut EP, Design, got the blogs buzzing in 2014 which included fan favorite “Broken Over You.”
