Young Thug’s artist, Strick released his new project, The Machine, Vol. 1. The 16 tracks has amazing guest features from Young Thug, T-Shyne, HiDoraah, Young Jordan, and Zelly Vibes. Ahead of the project’s release, Strick dropped stunning visuals to the singles, “Vevo” and “Whoa Whoa” which premiered via Hypebeast.
“The Machine Vol 1 is a compilation that embodies my work ethic. I got the nickname The Machine from my cousin, Az, because he noticed I’d make 6-7 songs each recording session and that I recorded everyday without fail. I decided to title a mixtape series after that name and give fans a variety of records that I’ve been working on leading up to my album,” said the rapper.
The Machine is undoubtedly one of the North Carolina’s best releases to date. He rides the elevator to the top of each song’s production with candid lyrics and addictive ad-lids
There is no stopping the now Las Vegas resident, as his first label release, See You When I Land debuted this past December with powerful guest appearances from Gunna, Young Thug, and Duke.
Strick is a robust and multifaceted recording artist hailing from North Carolina and currently splitting his time between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Best known for honing his skills as a clever wordsmith and adept songwriter, Strick has garnered a reputation for tapping into his diverse professional background both in business and in the U.S. Air Force to elevate both his business acumen and genuine creative output alike.
After relocating to Atlanta in 2012 and founding his own branding agency for aspiring musicians Foundation 86, Strick moved to Los Angeles to pursue his own career as an artist. He then landed his first official placement on Kanye West and Juicy J’s “Ballin’,”leading him to work with artists such as Travis Scott, Jeremih, K. Michelle and Wiz Khalifa. In 2016, Strick earned his first platinum record “coordinate” off Scott’s Birds in the TrapSing McKnight album, further igniting his hunger to continue developing his skills as a songwriter. That same year, he went on to join Young Thug on several tours, including the Hi-Tunes tour (2016) and the Hi Horse’D tour (2016/2017). Most recently, he was invited to join Young Thug and J. Cole on the K.O.D tour (2018).
In July 2017, Strick dropped his debut EP, Risk=Reward. In 2018, he released January’sRisk=Reward 2 and April’s Pairadice, going on to ink a deal with Young Stoner Life Records and 300 Entertainment. He appeared on Young Thug’s 2018 Slime Language compilation, with their collaboration “STS” going on to be streamed in the millions. Strick’s talent for creating songs with deeper meaning that don’t sacrifice their radio replay value is propelling him to the forefront of the ever-evolving hip-hop landscape.

VALEE SHARES THE WEALTH ON NEW RECORD “YOU AND ME BOTH”
WATCH THE KALEIDOSCOPIC LYRIC VIDEO HERE
“Valee is changing the sound of hip-hop in 2018, one unpredictable verse at a time.”– RollingStone”
Valee’s innovative style makes it impossible to predict what might come next.”– Pitchfork
“Valee doesn’t sound like anything happening in Chicago hip-hop right now.” – Noisey
In an era when aspiring public figures broadcast constantly in an effort to maximize their brand value, Valee’s coolly laconic stands apart. With short songs and a soft-spoken style, his unpredictable raps sketch subjects with a droll eye for detail over a bass-heavy canvas. This is trap music for the connoisseur, for fans of clever lyrics and effortless style. Valee grew up on Chicago’s South Side. When he received toys as a child, he would break them apart to figure out how they worked, a method he applies to his own process with music today: “Sometimes I rap and cut and copy and paste and move parts around and it changes the whole song, for the better.” His music career began when, intent on buying a gaming system, he stopped at Guitar Center instead. “I just wanted to make beats better than what I hear on my mixtapes or on the radio, and I wanted to rap on it. I wasn’t thinking about anyone else at all.” His counterintuitive approach across five mixtapes and his G.O.O.D. Music debut EP, GOOD job, You Found Me, has captured the ears of artists and music aficionados alike, drawn to his unorthodox approach.
OLIVIA O’BRIEN surpasses 1.5 billion global streams & releases new track “Just a Boy” from highly anticipated debut album out next Friday, April 26
“JUST A BOY” FEATURED ON COSMOPOLITAN’S INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT HERE
“deep, soulful vocals” – Billboard
“her truest test of artistry is in her music, which she writes herself.” – V Magazine
“she’s proving to be a name on the rise” – Complex
Olivia O’Brien could go on and on rattling off “lame excuses from guys” that you screenshot and forward to your friends for commiseration, sympathy, a laugh, or often response advice…
You don’t need to ask what to say anymore though because the 19-year-old critically acclaimed Los Angeles based singer and songwriter presents the answers on her 2019 full-length debut due this spring via Island Records. “I wrote this in a really dark place” she says, “and I hope I can help other people who may be in that same spot. My idea was for you to listen to the album when you’re feeling sad and by the end, you’ll feel better without even realizing it.
Their actions also had her asking if any of those relationships were even real. On the flip side, you can believe her words, and that’s why she made a major dent in pop music. The purple-haired songstress put up legit numbers, racking up more than a billion streams by 2019. She arrived as the rare talent who can share a song with everyone from G-Eazy and Drew Love of THEY. to gnash and received early support from the likes of Paper, The Coveteur, NYLON, V Magazine, and Idolator.
Now, Olivia takes everything back by way of her first record. “Obsessed with guitar,” she nodded to influences as diverse as Tame Impala, Kid Cudi, Amy Winehouse, and Fleetwood Mac. The introductory single “Love Myself” serves as the album’s finale, but it also earmarks the beginning. Hinging on dreamy clean guitar, she turns her voice inward as she confesses in a booming chorus, “I don’t need to know who I am yet. I don’t need to have a solid plan yet. I don’t need to be the same as everyone else. I just need to motherfucking love myself.”
“I should love myself, but I don’t,” she goes on. “I should treat myself better, but I don’t. It doesn’t have the same unattainable note that a lot of happier, confident songs have. So much other shit is like, ‘I already love myself. I’m confident. I’m great’. This is more attainable. It starts with being easier on yourself. So many kids are depressed. I wanted to end on a high note.

Breast Cancer Survivor & Yoga Nidra Facilitator Helps Children Live Happier With New Book
Children from all walks of life are exposed to stressful situations daily and learn to think in a way that creates anxiety. Some suffer hardships or see family members go through medical challenges, while others may be exposed to violence or substance abuse. Even children who come from privileged homes with intact families face challenges, whether it be parents who push them too hard, bullies who tease them at school, or online videos that send the wrong messages. All of these events can create insecurities and fears, which today’s youth don’t know to handle. Learning mindfulness techniques can help children be more resilient in the face of stress and help ease their worries.
How can we teach them?
By using a how-to storybook that introduces children to mindfulness techniques for easing anxiety and promoting happiness.
The Dolphin’s Secret: A Meditational Journey for Children by Meryl Best Lowell introduces children to Yoga Nidra—an ancient form of guided meditation which incorporates a sequence of mindfulness techniques—and encourages them to add it to their lives in order to feel calmer and happier. The book weaves how-to steps into the whimsical story of Meri, a beautiful mermaid, and her friend Aloha, a dolphin. Using The Dolphin’s Secret, parents and teachers can lead children ages 4-8 in these exercises as they lay down before naptime or bedtime.
“When children are scared, tired or sad, sometimes they act out in undesirable ways,” says Lowell. “The easy relaxation techniques incorporated into the story of Meri and Aloha will help caregivers as they guide children through ways to better manage themselves when they have these feelings. Not only can the story be used for entertainment when a child is feeling tired, but it can also be referred to in scenarios when a child is upset, and a parent or teacher needs to take action to calm them and stop the behavior from escalating.”
About Meryl Best Lowell
Lowell began practicing guided meditations while undergoing chemotherapy treatments for a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer. Once treatments were complete, she checked off a bucket-list item and went swimming with dolphins in the Bahamas– a life-enhancing and transformational experience. Later while on a hike, she was inspired to incorporate the mindfulness techniques of Yoga Nidra into a book for children- and of course, use dolphins among the characters.

BIRDMAN & JUVENILE RELEASE NEW ALBUM Just Another Gangsta AVAILABLE TODAY
Available at All Digital Retailers Now
Nodding to the golden age of Cash Money Records, Birdman & Juvenile team up to release their collaborative album J.A.G. at all digital retailers today.
Short for “Just Another Gangster,” both the album title and lead single “J.A.G.” take you back to the bouncy bling era of the label by reuniting legendary Co-Founder and multi-platinum rapper Birdman with Southern luminary and fellow icon Juvenile. The larger-than-life music video already surpassed 4.3 million YouTube/VEVO views, and the song impacted radio in February where it continues rising.
On the track, these two New Orleans titans lock into a lyrical back-and-forth before delivering a chanting refrain over a slick bass line and steady beat. With a whole lot of swag and style. It’s as infectious and icy as anything they’ve ever done together, and it evokes the timeless nature of their chemistry initially honed by way of collaborations from dozens of classic releases.
“J.A.G.” is stacked with bold and big bangers. “Dreams” featuring Choppa showcases more slick Southern flows over acoustic guitar and piano. Choppa brings his own fire to the track as Juvenile turns up with another hummable hook. “Broke” unfolds with street wit and charm, while a bluesy guitar lead gives way to rhyme fireworks on the nostalgic “Back Then.” “From The Bottom” could serve as a mission statement for either Juvenile or Birdman as it documents the come-up to triumph in vivid detail. The album concludes on the hard-hitting and bounce-driven “One Two.”
The entire project sees Birdman and Juvenile rapping with focus and fire that’s always fresh. Additionally, it features production courtesy of Rich Gang in-house team.
Birdman and Juvenile recently engaged a full court press blitz that saw them appearing on multiple television and radio shows. They notably guested on The Wendy Williams Show to perform the title track and speak on the project. Additionally, Juvenile guested on The Breakfast Club, and his appearance racked up a staggering 100K views in under six hours as it approached the 400k mark now.
Be on the lookout for more big news and moves from Birdman, Juvenile, and Cash Money Records in 2019.
