JAX AND MARTIN SOLVEIG ANNOUNCE COLLABORATIVE PROJECT EUROPA

JAX’S HEADLINING NORTH AMERICAN TOUR KICKS OFF NEXT MONTH WITH STOPS IN CHICAGO, NEW YORK, LOS ANGELES AND MORE

Europa have today unleashed their debut single ‘All Day And Night’, featuring white-hot US singer Madison Beer. Europa is Jax Jones and Martin Solveig: two friends who also just so happen to be multi-platinum artists (with over 4 billion combined streams), pushing each other to investigate musical avenues they’d never explore on their own.

Europa is club-focused pop music and pop-focused club music. Europa is friendship. Europa is a larger-than-life explosion of unexpected combinations, total freedom, unexpected twists and bridges not walls. Europa is the phrase ‘stronger together’ brought to life in vivid colours.

Born out of a mutual admiration and cemented by a hug given by Martin after Jax’s set in Ibiza, the pair’s collaboration has been a long time coming. It was only after Solveig made the Eurostar trip to Jax’s London studio that they realized that they had something special and the spirit of Europa started to take shape: ‘’for the first-ever Europa session, Martin came in and played a song with a cheeky sax riff in it.’’ Jax adds ‘’He looked at me as if to say: ‘This is a bit taboo, but we could try it.’ And then I said: ‘Well if we’re doing that, how about TRANCE?”

One delight of the genre-agnostic Europa outlook is that it’s truly a project without hard borders, and with US singer/songwriter Madison Beer, who was recognized by Billboard on its 2018 ‘21 Under 21’ roster of the most promising young talents in music, contributing vocals to chart-ready walloper All Day And Night, Europa is also a celebration of frictionless relationships with the rest of the world.  “To have Madison on our first track is great. She has an undeniable truth in her vocal that we both really like and since launching her career she’s become an influential voice of her generation,” Martin comments. Late last year Madison released ‘Hurts Like Hell’, which continues to climb the charts and was described by Complex Magazine as her “biggest track to date.” The song is just a glimpse of what’s to come from her highly-anticipated upcoming debut studio album this summer. Future singles will pair Europa with further still-under-wraps vocalists; they’ll be complemented in Europa’s live shows by a raft of club-ready cuts bursting with spontaneity and openness.

“A huge common point for us is that we want people to have fun,” Jax and Martin explain. “Europa has allowed both of us to step out from what everybody else might consider reasonable. Music doesn’t have to be reasonable. You might even say it shouldn’t be.”

The announcement of Europa follows an impressive start to 2019 for London’s Jax Jones. A second BRIT Award nomination in a row came in the wake of his latest Top 10 collaboration – the groove-fueled earworm ‘Play’ ft. Years & Years. He plays his biggest headline show to date at London’s Roundhouse on 6th April, before heading to America for a landmark nine date tour.

Next month, Jax will embark on a headlining tour of North America. Kicking off on April 18 in Washington, D.C., the 10-date run wraps up on May 3 in Los Angeles at The Roxy. See full list of tour dates below.

MADISON BEER × OFFSET

Independent pop singer-songwriter Madison Beer has released her brand new single “Hurts Like Hell” featuring Offset today.

Co-written by Charli XCX and Madison, featuring Migos’ Offset, “Hurts Like Hell’’provides fans a glimpse of what’s to come from Beer’s debut album due for release in 2019.

On the new single Madison explains, “The song’s production feels really new to me — it’s got a vibe in the beat like I haven’t heard before. I love Charli XCX, so getting to work with her was really inspiring. Offset felt like the perfect fit for the track. He’s one of the most talented, professional, down to Earth artists I’ve ever worked with, and his verse absolutely kills it.”

“Hurts Like Hell” comes hot on the heels of the success of Madison’s previous single “Home With You”, which made music history when it peaked within the Top 20 of US Top 40 radio chart, making Beer the first independent female solo artist to ever do so.

Madison Beer is an independent artist breaking in a major way. Her debut EP, “As She Pleases” (which spawned “Home With You”, “Say It To My Face” and “Dead”), has notched up over 400 million combined streams since its release in February. Her Spring/ Summer 2018 headline worldwide tour sold out within minutes of going on sale, while her first ever festival performance at Lollapalooza over the summer was lauded by critics.

This year has also seen Madison make her late-night debut on The Late Late Show With James Corden; feature in Billboard’s coveted “21 Under 21” list of top musicians in 2018; guest on David Guetta’s “7”album; perform alongside Liam Gallagher at Milan fashion Week A/W 2018; grace the covers of numerous magazines worldwide (including, most recently, Flaunt magazine); launch her own clothing collection (with leading online womenswear retailer missguided); and be enlisted as the face of a Bulgari fragrance campaign. All in addition performing live to an audience of 80 million viewers at the Riot Games World Championships Event last week in celebration of her feature on K/DA’s debut track “POP/STARS” which has topped iTunes charts in over 16 territories worldwide within 72 hours.

Madison Beer – who has partnered with First Access Entertainment and is distributed through AWAL – is a fully independent artist consistently praised for her trailblazing efforts and her passion for creating music that empowers listeners. Her huge, engaged and ever growing fanbase, (evident from her 2.6 million+ followers on Twitter, and eye-popping 10. 5 million+ on Instagram), regard her as a pioneer of the ‘Girl Boss’ generation.

All eyes are on Madison as fans look to her first full length studio debut, set for release in 2019.

Don’t mess with them.” – Paste MagazineRebecca & Megan Lovell of Larkin Poe are singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist sisters creating their own brand of Roots Rock ‘n’ Roll: gritty, soulful, and flavored by their southern heritage.  Named for one of their familial ancestors who was also a distant cousin of Edgar Allan Poe, Larkin Poe’s music mines a reverent blend of blues and Americana with the patina of a Southern Gothic sensibility, punctuated by the sisters’ seamless harmonies and gritty interplay between electric and slide guitars.WES PERIOD2:10 – 2:50pm“West Coast rap exists in Kendrick Lamar‘s celestial shadow, but that doesn’t mean Los Angeles isn’t speckled with intriguing young voices putting their own twists on the genre. One of those voices is Wes Period.” – NYLONThis native Californian rapper/songwriter/producer began making music in 2010. Flecked with a bright, celebratory and hazy lyrical flow, Wes’ music is upbeat, sunny and singularly Californian. His music fell into the hands of hit songwriter, Justin Tranter (Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, DNCE), who quickly signed Wes to his label, Facet Records, where he released the track “Trap Star,” and the mixtape Pretty Words.FLETCHER | 3:20 – 4:00pm“One of the most exciting female artists to emerge in the pop…Even in the face of growing fame FLETCHER has remained unquestionably authentic – and she’s only just getting started.” – Paper MagazineOriginally hailing from Asbury Park, the rock capital of New Jersey, striking singer-songwriter Fletcher made a tremendous splash when her rousing pop track “War Paint” was essentially declared the anthem of the summer 2015 via the Spotify Viral 50 Chart. The single became the #1 most socially shared track on Spotify in the U.S. for two consecutive weeks, and #3 across the world, earning nearly 5 million streams. After that auspicious opening statement, Fletcher unleashed the Finding Fletcher EP, which added “Wasted Youth” to her arsenal of provocative pop, racking up 2.9 million views on YouTube.
GASHI | 4:30 – 5:10pm“It’s difficult to not to be captivated by his songwriting and his distinctively strong personality as it’s carefully woven into his music.” – The SourceBorn in Africa, bred in Brooklyn by parents of Albanian descent, Gashi seamlessly sings, raps, blends and melds musical elements into a singular style that has made him an artist to watch. His single “Disrespectful” has accrued 4.6M views on YouTube, and his single “No No No” has been streamed over 6 million times, landing on Spotify’s New Music Friday billboard in the middle of Times Square. SUPA BWE | 5:40 – 6:20pm“Supa Bwe has already challenged the current state of rap as he transcends genres with his eclectic production and blend of melodies and rhymes.” – HipHopDXChicago rapper/producer Supa Bwe (real name Frederick S. Burton) dropped his full-length solo debut, Finally Dead, last December, and the bold release proved to be an audacious opening statement, premiering at number 3 on iTunes and earning critical shout-outs from XXL, Hype Beast and others. As equally influenced by classic hip-hop from his father and the punk, metal and alternative rock championed by his British mother, Supa Bwe’s music is an assertive blend of inventive rhymes, in-your-face attitude and striking vocal melodies that meld his influences into a single, distinctive style that sets him well apart from his contemporaries.MADISON BEER | 6:50 – 7:30pm“Don’t be fooled by her age: 19-year-old Madison Beer is a force to be reckoned with and an old soul.” – BillboardMadison Beer is a Long Island native who started posting her covers of pop and R&B songs online at the age of 12. Since then, Beer has racked up YouTube views past 83 million, she’s amassed 10.7 million Instagram subscribers and 2.6 million Twitter followers. She signed with Island Records after Justin Bieber shared one of her covers. Her recent EP, As She Pleases, featured the hits “Dead” and “Say it To My Face” and racked up streams in the millions.
