Starting at the base price of $62,995, the Dodge Durango SRT 392 reinvents the idea of what an SUV is capable of. Recently, 360 MAGAZINE took the Durango from LA to Vegas, toting Diesel, a 200 lb English Mastiff with room to spare. This three row truck not only provides enough space for a family of up to seven, but entertainment options to keep kids busy as well. Among the numerous technology options provided in the SRT is an 8-speed automatic transmission and the ability to tow up to 8,700 lbs.

PERFORMANCE

This remote start system is fit with large mirrors and optional blind-spot warning to provide exceptional visibility. While maintaining the heavy feel of a truck, the Durango provides a composed and planted drive, free of any harsh motions or jiggling. It can reach a higher volume at full throttle, but when cruising noise remains at a peaceful minimum due to its active noise canceling system. This allows the Durango to provide a perfect setting for a family road trip. Under its vented hood lies a 475 hp worth of Hemi V-8 driving all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic, permitting the Durango to go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and braking from 60 mph in 125 ft. The Brembo six piston high-performance brakes feel moderate to soft with long-travel strokes. It is precise and weighted, able to perform quick U-turns and maintains a comfortable slack at freeway speeds. The Durango has 7 SRT drive modes which include street, sport, track, snow, tow, valet, and eco. It’s 4-wheel drive, traction control and low-range gearing provide real off-road capabilities as well. With an annual fuel cost of $3,000, the Durango uses 6.7 gallons per 100 miles.

EXTERIOR

In this newest model appearances can be deceiving, similar to a Transformer in its versatility and markings and easily passing as Bumblebee’s cherry colored cousin. While the Durango is a perfect family car, it maintains a sporty and bold exterior. The model is equipped with 20-inch x 10-inch black noise wheels and 295/45ZR20 BSW all season tires. The clean lines and seamless stitching of the Durango are refined and reminiscent of European auto offerings. The style of this SUV is edgy, racy and customizable as well.

INTERIOR

Inside are three rows of leather-trimmed bucket seats with suede inserts. The driver’s seat is supportive and adjustable. The Durango is one of the most spacious three-row SUVs, ideal for children, as well as adults, to fit comfortably in all of the cabin’s seating positions. Second row seats flip and fold in order to gain access to third row seats, which provide a surprising amount of space; optimal for families spending ample amounts of time in the car. Front and second row seats are also equipped with heating and ventilation options.

SAFETY

As for safety, this vehicle offers; Blind-Spot Monitoring, illuminating a light on either of the Durango’s side mirrors; Forward Collision Warning, which helps prevent collisions by sounding an alert when the Durango detects an imminent collision; and Lane Departure Warning Plus, which sounds a warning if the Durango begins to drift from its lane without a turn signal being activated. The Durango received great results when tested for side impact, roof strength, and rear crash protection / head restraint.

TECHNOLOGY

Among the amenities of this vehicle are Uconnect 4C NAV with 8.4-inch display, SiriusXM traffic plus, a 4G LTE Wi-fi Hot Spot, and 9 Alpine amplified speakers with subwoofer. The media hub also comes with Apple Carplay and Google Android Auto capabilities.

A current tech option available for the Durango is an 825-watt Harman/Kardon sound system boasting 19 speakers. The sound system provides a listening experience similar to sitting front row at a concert with your favorite artists singing right into your ear.

Additional options include; rear DVD entertainment center with blu-ray compatible dual screen video and rear seat video system, a power sunroof, a second-row console with armrest and storage including 1 USB charging port, 12-volt auxiliary power outlet, third-row full-console floor mat and illuminated rear cup holders, and a hand-wrapped dashboard and live stitch with real carbon fiber interior accents.

Jake Miller Drops “NIKES”

McLaren Beverly Hills to Donate 570S Spider for Auction at Cirque Du Soleil’s One Night for One Drop

McLaren Beverly Hills is partnering with One Night for One Drop to auction a special “Racing Through the Ages Collection” 570S Spider in Muriwai White on March 8th in Las Vegas at the “O” Theatre in the Bellagio Resort & Casino.

The bespoke vehicle was designed in the UK by McLaren Special Operations (MSO) and features a special MSO rear wing, a GT4 inspired racing stripe, a retractable hardtop, and carbon-fiber racing seats. The car is further complemented by the MSO defined “Black Pack” featuring the 10-spoke super lightweight forged wheels in gloss black and an MSO defined titanium SuperSports exhaust, guaranteeing a power-fused, soul-stirring drive. The estimated value is $300,000 USD.

One Night for One Drop is an annual philanthropic event in which the Cirque du Soleil cast and crew donate their time and talent to create a spectacular theatrical show in support of One Drop, an international non-profit organization dedicated to providing long term access to safe water. This year, the event features Academy-Award winning film score composer Hans Zimmer as well as the iconic Blue Man Group and renowned choreographers, Andrew Winghart and Alexander Ekman. In addition to providing water to communities in need all over the globe and working towards a more sustainable future, a portion of the proceeds remains local going towards Las Vegas Water initiatives.

Nicky Jam officially announces his new concert tour

Nicky Jam announces his “Intimate Tour 2019”, this is his next concert tour in the United States, where the most prominent urban singer-songwriter of recent times hopes to surprise all his followers with his extraordinary show, many surprises and a constant evolution. PETA x Coalition LA

PETA x Coalition LA unites the largest animal rights organization in the world and the premium outerwear brand with 20-years of cruelty-free manufacturing experience! The collaboration is working with retailers to design custom fashion-forward outerwear capsules made from premium vegan materials. The two animal rights advocates launched the collaboration late last year with a limited-edition “Go With The Faux” vegan leather jacket.

Due to the success of this initial collaboration jacket, PETA x Coalition LA will be offering retailers the chance to design and carry a custom fashion-forward outerwear capsule made from premium vegan materials. The collaboration has had the support of WWDMAGIC from the start and will be debuting this custom production service to their buyers first at this coming February show.

Welterweight World Championship: Pacquiao vs. Broner

Power, speed and a clash of styles will be on display this month when two of boxing’s biggest stars go toe-to-toe for the welterweight world championship. Ending his two-year hiatus from a U.S. boxing ring, boxing’s only eight-division world champion Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao returns to defend his WBA welterweight title against former four-division world champion and must-see attraction Adrien “The Problem” Broner.  Broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Pacquiao vs. Broner,” and its co-featured fights, will be shown on big screens across the nation.

If victorious, Broner also will add a career-defining win against a first-ballot Hall of Famer to his already stellar resume.

A three-time Fighter of the Year and the Boxing Writers Association of America’s reigning Fighter of the Decade, Pacquiao (60-7-2, 39 KOs), who hails from Sarangani Province in the Philippines, is the only sitting Congressman and Senator to win a world title. Pacquiao’s boxing resume features victories over at least seven current and future Hall of Famers, including Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton, Marco Antonio Barrera, Erik Morales, Miguel Cotto, Shane Mosley, and Juan Manuel Marquez.

Cincinnati’s Broner (33-3-1, 24 KOs) is a former four-division world title holder and one of boxing’s most popular and colorful personalities. The brash and outspoken 29-year-old has faced some of boxing’s best en route to winning titles at 130, 135, 140 and 147 pounds, including Mikey Garcia, Paulie Malignaggi and Shawn Porter. Broner, who will face his 10th world champion in Pacquiao, scored a draw in his last fight in April on SHOWTIME against former two-division world champion Jessie Vargas.

Mob Museum Debuts Tech at the Museum

The Mob Museum, The National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement located in downtown Las Vegas, this year launched “Organized Crime Today,” a technology-driven exhibition dedicated to present-day topics. Featuring artifacts as well as fully interactive, 17-foot-long touch screen wall, the exhibition enables Museum guests to take a deep dive into the Global Networks of organized crime operating around the world in the 21st century. This elaborate exhibition launched in February of 2018, along with three other brand-new permanent exhibitions the award-winning, American Alliance of Museums-accredited institution debuted this year.

While most of the Museum covers the intriguing history of organized crime and its battle with law enforcement through decades, Organized Crime Today addresses contemporary iterations of this illegal activity. The Global Networks touchscreen wall elaborates on contemporary crime rackets—illegal enterprises that span the globe and profit off everything from drug and human trafficking to product counterfeiting, money laundering and cybercrime. The exhibit addresses the most prominent organized crime groups active in the world today and explores the complexities of organized crime with up-to-the-minute developments pulled from the day’s headlines.

For example, a recent addition to the Global Networks interactive wall spotlights the wildlife smuggling trade in Cambodia, where customs officials recently confiscated 3.5 tons of African elephant ivory—the largest cache of the smuggled contraband ever found in the country. Smugglers have been using Cambodia as a transit hub to feed the demand for ivory in China—which banned ivory sales in 2018—and Vietnam, where it is used in carved artwork, chopsticks and jewelry.

In addition, the screen offers the ability for experts around the world to videoconference into the Museum remotely and offer their analysis and insights into organized crime around the world. These programs are included in the price of general admission and offer Museum visitors the opportunity not only to hear from these experts, but also the chance to ask questions.

Museum visitors encounter other technology-enabled, interactive experiences as well. A Use of Force Training experience uses airsoft versions of police-style handguns and responsive video scenarios to demonstrate the training law enforcement officers receive regarding the use of deadly force. Meanwhile, in the Museum’s Crime Lab, visitors can learn about cause of death investigation with the assistance of life-sized, digitally generated subjects viewed on an interactive, touch-screen “autopsy table.”

VALEO x CES 2019

At CES in Las Vegas for the sixth consecutive year, Valeo is unveiling its latest technological innovations at the epicenter of the revolutions shaping mobility, i.e., the advent of autonomous vehicles, powertrain electrification and digital mobility. These three disruptions transforming the automotive industry are also driving profound change in society.

Valeo develops new technologies to make this transformation a reality. One example that can be seen and tested in the streets of Las Vegas during CES 2019 is Valeo Drive4U®, the Group’s first autonomous car, which is unique in that it can perform all operations using only Valeo sensors that are already series-produced (ultrasound, cameras, lasers, radars and LiDARS) and artificial intelligence. The vehicle is essentially equipped with a full-fledged digital brain that can process the inputs and learn from the scenarios it encounters in the city.

One of the key challenges in autonomous driving is safety. Road accidents are a global epidemic and most often the result of human error. Valeo’s goal is for its systems to significantly reduce accidents, setting the target of less than one major incident for every billion kilometers driven, which would represent a higher level of safety than in the aeronautics industry. To achieve this result, Valeo is presenting two major innovations in Las Vegas: Valeo Drive4U® Remote to operate autonomous vehicles remotely when assistance is required or even vital, and Valeo Voyage XR, which is able to simulate the virtual presence of a person – based in a fixed location – on board the autonomous vehicle during the journey. This means that the car could potentially be controlled externally by somebody who is aware of what is happening within the vehicle. Based on this innovation, Valeo has designed a new form of communication that allows a “stationary” passenger wearing a virtual reality headset to teleport into a moving vehicle.

Also with a view to increasing safety, Valeo will be showcasing Valeo XtraVue Trailer and Valeo PictureBeam Monolithic. The first of these two innovations causes a trailer or caravan to appear invisible in the rearview mirror of the vehicle towing it, making all maneuvers easier and safer for the driver. The second is a high definition lighting system developed in partnership with CREE, the US market leader in the manufacture of LEDs. The solution generates a high definition beam of light on the road without ever blinding other road users and projects information and images onto the pavement.

Lastly, since usage patterns are changing, with digital tools giving access to new ways of getting around, Valeo is developing technologies to promote their widespread take-up. Examples include the Valeo Clean Road app, which generates customized routes to avoid peak pollution areas, and Valeo Oxy’Zen, which can be used to activate air purification systems inside the vehicle cabin.

With these innovations, Valeo is once again demonstrating its capacity to imagine, design and develop technologies conducive to new forms of mobility that are widely accessible yet adapted to individual needs.

Autotalks X CES 2019

Autotalks, a world leader in V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) communications solutions, was selected by HARMAN International, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., focused on connected technologies for automotive, consumer and enterprise markets, to provide the V2X chipset for its Telematics platform which will be showcased at CES® 2019. Autotalks’ second generation chipsets, which were selected, are mass-market ready and support both DSRC and C-V2X direct communications (PC5 protocol).

HARMAN will showcase an impressive connectivity display of its Telematics platform with C-V2X capabilities. The live demonstration will show a vehicle communicating with a motorcycle using C-V2X direct communications, where the Autotalks chipset is used in both. Harman’s solution consists of a modular TCU (Telematics Control Unit) accommodating a cellular NAD (Network Access Device) side by side Autotalks’ second generation chipset providing C-V2X capabilities. Autotalks C-V2X capabilities consist of a 3GPP compliant PC5 modem, with dual antenna and diversity for both transmission and reception, as well as an optimized closed-loop remote antenna solution for the highest radio performance.
