YouTube Originals today announced it is partnering with global superstar Justin Bieber on his first-ever docuseries, “Justin Bieber: Seasons,” to premiere on Monday, January 27 at 12:00 p.m. ET / 9:00 a.m. PT. The series will bring Justin Bieber back to YouTube, where it all started, to give fans a full circle look at his life. Fans can tune in to “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2020” on ABC after the ball drop tonight for a preview of the series and a special message from Bieber himself.
 
“When I was getting started, YouTube provided me a platform and a community where I could share music, experiences and moments with my fans,” said Justin Bieber. “It feels great to partner with YouTube for this original documentary series. I want my fans to be part of this journey.”

“Justin Bieber: Seasons” is an all-access, 10-episode original documentary series chronicling the making of Justin Bieber’s first album in four years. The show is a raw, powerful and intimate look at Bieber’s process of creating new music and the motivation for this new album told through the lens of his closest confidants, friends, collaborators and Bieber himself.  The series will also feature a behind-the-scenes look at Bieber’s private life, including never-before-seen footage of his wedding to Hailey Bieber and his day-to-day alongside those in his inner circle. With brand new music scoring the episodes, Justin reflects on the highs and lows of growing up in the public eye as he invites his fans on the journey leading up to the release of the highly-anticipated and most personal album of his career. “Justin Bieber: Seasons” will premiere on Monday, January 27 at 12:00 p.m. ET / 9:00 a.m. PT, with new episodes premiering free with ads each Monday and Wednesday at noon ET. Fans can sign up for YouTube Premium to get early access to new episodes and watch the series ad-free.

The news follows record growth for YouTube Originals, with total views of the full 2019 slate growing more than 40% compared to the year before.

LOOK AT HER NOW

Selena Gomez surprised fans today by releasing “Look At Her Now,” an upbeat song about perseverance. “Look At Her Now” is available today at all digital retailers via Interscope Records.  Selena co-wrote the song with Julia Michaels, Justin Tranter and Ian Kirkpatrick (“Bad Liar”). Gomez says, “I felt having these two songs released back to back completed the story of how one can rise no matter what challenges life brings.  Turning off the noise and living your life on your terms.” Listen to “Look At Her Now” HERE.

For the dance heavy music video, Gomez reteamed with acclaimed director Sophie Muller.  Just as Selena’s previous video (“Lose You To Love Me”), the video for “Look At Her Now” was shot entirely on the new iPhone 11 Pro. Watch the music video HERE.

Multi-platinum Grammy, Juno and Polaris Prize nominated singer/songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen today releases a unique version of fan favorite track “The Sound”, from her recent fourth album, Dedicated, via Schoolboy/Interscope Records.
Recorded and filmed live in Lapland, Finland – with the support of House of Lapland, Finnair and Visit Finland – “The Sound (Live in Lapland, Finland)” sees Carly and her band strip back the song’s more electronic elements and replace them with organic, more tranquil, instrumentation. In what is a rare moment for an artist, both audio and video were recorded fully outdoors – and the accompanying performance video captures the picturesque setting of the record, on a remote lakeside jetty in Lapland’s Ruka-Kuusamo region.

Carly Rae Jepsen’s video for “Want You In My Room” was shot at the Los Angeles County Arboretum and directed by Andrew Donoho (twenty one pilots, Khalid).

The Jack Antonoff produced “Want You In My Room” is featured on Jepsen’s fourth studio album Dedicated which was released in May on Schoolboy/Interscope Records. Jepsen worked with a crew of trusted songwriters and producers, among them Antonoff,  John Hill, Captain Cuts, Patrik Berger, and her longtime collaborator Tavish Crowe, on Dedicated.  Rolling Stone called Dedicated “another installment of Eighties-loving pop that proudly wears its heart on its sleeve” and USA Today said it’s “an album of many pleasures.”  Jepsen recently wrapped a North American headline tour and  will perform this Sunday at the Life Is Beautiful Festival in Las Vegas.

OZUNA MAKES HISTORY WITH 23 NOMINATIONS
