In March, THE INNER MONOLOGUE TOUR showcased her power as a live performer and solidified her as an impressive concert draw. She sold out venues in Chicago, Seattle, San Diego, Boulder, and Tulsa, to name a few. MICHAELS is also currently supporting P!NK on the U.S. installment of The Beautiful Trauma World Tour.

On a nightly basis, she’s bringing her debut, INNER MONOLOGUE PART I, to life on stage—and bringing fans closer than ever.

GRAMMY® Award-nominated singer and songwriter Julia Michaels has transformed the pop music landscape not only from behind-the-scenes as one of the most in-demand songwriters, but in the spotlight as a solo artist as well. Her rapid rise can be attributed to identifiable honesty in every lyric, as exemplified in her triple-platinum selling debut single “Issues”.  In 2018, she garnered GRAMMY® Awards nominations in the categories of “Best New Artist” and “Song of the Year” for “Issues,” which amassed nearly 2 billion streams worldwide. Continuing that success, “Issues” notably became “the top-selling debut single by an artist in 2017,” and placed as the only solo female composition on Variety’s “30 Most Consumed Songs of 2017.”

As a songwriter, MICHAELS has co-written 21 titles that have charted on the Billboard Hot 100, eleven of which have hit the Top 40, including “Issues.”  Those songwriting credits include smashes like Justin Bieber’s “Sorry,” Selena Gomez’s “Good for You” [feat. A$AP Rocky] & “Hands To Myself,” and Hailee Steinfeld’s “Love Myself.”  She’s also written titles for Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani, Linkin Park, Ed Sheeran, John Legend, P!NK, Maroon 5, Jessie Ware, Janelle Monae, Keith Urban, Shawn Mendes and more.

Since her debut as a solo artist, MICHAELS has built an enviable touring resume, joining artists like Maroon 5, Keith Urban, Shawn Mendes, Niall Horan, and P!NK- who she is currently touring the U.S. with through May 2019, around the globe.

MICHAELS most recently surprised fans with the release of INNER MONOLOGUE PART I.  Upon arrival, the EP debuted at #1 on the iTunes Pop Albums Chart and #5 Overall iTunes Albums Chart. The success of the EP prompted MICHAELS first-ever headline tour, “The Inner Monologue Tour,” which has sold out dates across the country.

Jessie Ware Releases “Adore You”

Jessie Ware begins the year as she unveils new track “Adore You,” co-written and produced by Joseph Mount (Metronomy) and mixed by James Ford. The song is available now via PMR Records / Friends Keep Secrets / Interscope Records.  Ware’s latest offering was lauded yesterday on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show as “Hottest Record In The World.”  Listen to “Adore You” HERE.

“Adore You” is a continuous reminder of Ware’s ability to transcend the British clubbing scene in sophisticated fashion. Boasting an ethereal core and sophisticated vocals all round, “Adore You” is a fresh cut of classic UK house and dance music from the soul powerhouse. The tracks funk-infused and rhythmic production, thanks to Metronomy’s Joseph Mount, harmonises Jessie’s captivating sound, exciting a subtle essence of nostalgia to keep the spirit of clubbing music alive.

Speaking of the track, Jessie said, “I’ve wanted to work with Joe for such a long time and this is the first thing we did in the studio together. This is ‘Adore You.’ It’s just a little something to tie you over with until my next release. It feels fitting to put this out when I’m about to become a new mum again and feel the most confident I’ve ever felt about my music. Happy Valentines, I adore you all.”

It’s been a transformative period for Jessie that has seen her reconnect with her roots. Jessie has been in the studio working on her next album and has released “Adore You” as a taster record for what’s to come.

“About You”

Asralwerks will release About You, the debut album by Albin Lee Meldau. The album which is available for pre-order today along with the release of the starkly powerful opening track Before & After marks the arrival of a remarkable new voice and an emerging artist to watch in 2018. About You will also include the standout songs The Weight Is Gone, Same Boat, and Lou Lou.

When you distill the 13 breathtaking songs on About You down to their essence, you’ll arrive at Albin’s motivation: Storytelling, says the 29-year-old singer-songwriter. That’s what will matter in the long run. If I achieve that, I’m happy. Anyone can sing. First and foremost, Albin considers himself a musical journalist who not only documents what he feels, but also what he sees. But before you discover his gift for weaving emotion, detail and humanity into a unique blend of classic soul and modern pop production, you will hear his voice and be bowled over. Maybe anyone can sing, but as NPR writes, Few singers can command an audience’s attention quite like Albin Lee Meldau. His voice is breathtaking, soulful, thunderous and impossible to ignore.

Indeed, on About You those pipes of his connect a rich history of rhythm and blue Al Green, Van Morrison to contemporary innovators like James Blake, Sam Smith and Hozier. The music does that too, swelling from spare guitar or piano-backed ballads, to Ronson-like mashups of hip-hop beats and sweeping strings, to hands-in-the-air soul-soaked dance-pop. That’s no doubt got a bit to do with Albin’s collaborators: writers like Jimmy Napes (Sam Smith, Disclosure), DJ Khalil (Anderson .Paak), and Neil Ormandy (James Arthur), plus producers Bastian Langebaek (Jessie Ware, Jack Garratt) and Jamie Scott (Rag’n’Bone Man, Ed Sheeran).

But lest you assume such a who’s who would sway a young artist from his mission, consider the fact that the haunting, unadorned song which introduced him to the world in 2015, Lou Lou, is perfectly at home on About You. And that’s where we come back to the storytelling: Just as that tune documents heartache as a woman close to Albin succumbs to madness, its neighboring songs are deeply poignant. They’re little novels about life from a man who’s heartbroken, who’s had his problems, who is weird, says Albin. It’s a breakup record and the start of something else.

The UK buzz for Albin continues to grow with a BBC Radio 2 A-List add for The Weight Is Gone, and following a sold-out London show at Omeara on April 17, Albin will return to the U.S. to support Jessie Ware on her upcoming North American tour, which includes shows in Chicago (Vic Theatre, April 29), Boston (Paradise, May 5), NYC (Brooklyn Steel, May 7-8), Philadelphia (TLA, May 10), and Washington DC (Lincoln Theatre, May 11).

2018 is shaping up to be a breakthrough year for Albin, the son of a Swedish jazz singer mom and a British punk rocker dad who hails from Gothenburg, Sweden. His debut album follows two impressive EPs that have already notched more than 30 million streams on Spotify. Last year he made his debut at SXSW and Bonnaroo, and NPR Music invited him to perform on their popular Tiny Desk Concert series. Albin was nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2017 Grammis (Sweden’s Grammy Awards) and won the 2016 Anchor Award, an international competition hosted by the Reeperbahn Festival in Germany that seeks out the best new emerging talent. He was selected by a jury that included producer Tony Visconti (David Bowie) who sang Albin’s praises in presenting him the award: Something is pouring out of his heart and soul when he sings.

JESSIE WARE SHARES “ALONE” VIDEO

WARE TO PERFORM INTIMATE SHOWS THIS MONTH IN NY, SF, LA

Ahead of the release of her forthcoming third album Glasshouse, London -born singer / songwriter Jessie Ware today shares the official video for her song “Alone.” Directed by Charlie Robbins, the video is available now. Watch it HERE.

“Alone” is, in Jessie’s own words, a song about “stealing time away with your loved one.” Shot in the beautiful art deco surrounds of Eltham Palace in London, director Charlie Robbins flips between Super 8 cameras in this nostalgic piece. “Alone” was co-written by Kid Harpoon and Sarah Aarons, and produced by Stint.

July of this year marked Jessie’s return with her first single in three years, “Midnight.” Since then, Jessie has shared two further acclaimed songs; “Selfish Love” and “Alone.” Written and recorded between London and LA, her new album Glasshouse is released on October 20th via PMR/Friends Keep Secrets/Interscope Records. The theme running throughout the record is that of family; from Jessie’s long-term network of musical collaborators to her own family in London.

Jessie Ware Releases New Song “Alone”

JESSIE WARE’S NEW ALBUM, GLASSHOUSE, DUE OCTOBER 20 IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER

NEW SONG, “ALONE,” AVAILABLE FOR INSTANT DOWNLOAD TO THOSE WHO PRE-ORDER, ALONG WITH “SELFISH LOVE” AND “MIDNIGHT”

Glasshouse, the eagerly awaited new album from three-time BRIT Award nominee Jessie Ware is now available for pre-order from all participating retailers. Those who pre-order the album will receive instant downloads of the previously released “Midnight” and “Selfish Love” as well as the new track, “Alone,” which Ware co-wrote with Kid Harpoon (HAIM, Florence + the Machine). Listen to “Alone” HERE. The album features 12 tracks, with an additional 5 on the deluxe version.

Of “Alone,” the London-born singer / songwriter says: “I’m so happy to be reunited with Kid Harpoon on this one. It’s a song about stealing time with your loved one, and longing for the simple declaration that they want the same.”

“Alone” is the third track to be released from Glasshouse, which is due from PMR Records / Friends Keep Secrets / Interscope Records on October 20th. The new album marks a thematic departure from Ware’s second album, 2014’s Tough Love. A tender, candid exploration of family life, Glasshouse was largely shaped by the 2016 birth of Ware’s first child, and by the sometimes painful soul-searching that marked that transformative moment. “It became an album for my husband and my baby,” she says. “It’s an apology, a confession, a love note, a declaration. It shows all my fears and all of my emotion.”

With its sonic palette encompassing everything from jazz improvisations to hypnotic house beats, Glasshouse expands on the genre-blurring sophistication that Ware has embodied since the 2012 release of her Mercury Prize-nominated debut Devotion, which was one of the most critically lauded albums of that year. Recorded with her longtime friend Benny Blanco (Halsey, Icona Pop, Charli XCX), Glasshouse also finds her pairing up with Felix and Hugo White (The Maccabees), Ed Sheeran, and Norwegian DJ/ producer Cashmere Cat. Ware has sculpted a dynamic new sound while still mining her classic sensibilities.

In an advance preview of Glasshouse, Entertainment Weekly calls it Ware’s “most powerful and vulnerable LP yet,” while the New York Times called her “one of pop’s subtlest powerhouses” in its Pop and Jazz Fall preview. Of “Midnight,” Pitchfork writes that “Ware’s performance captures all the magic and terror that comes with totally yielding your heart to someone else. This is Ware’s gift: She takes those rare moments where the stakes are irreversibly raised, and imbues them with the drama and elegance they deserve.”
