Mereba Releases Visual For “Black Truck”

After stunning fans with her sultry debut single, “Black Truck,” Mereba (Interscope) has returned with an equally gripping visual. The 9th Wonder-produced song is a poetic depiction of the triumphs and trials of life and love; and the video complements the lyric’s abstract quality. Directed by Mereba and renowned photographers Durimel (twin brothers Jalan and Jibril), the video features a collage of raw and soulful shots, staged in Miami, Florida. James Laxton, director of cinematography for Moonlight, contributed to the production as well. You can view the video HERE.

Prior to the release of the “Black Truck,” Mereba was best known for her collaborations with Grammy nominated 6LACK and Dreamville newcomers J.I.D and Earthgang. Mereba’s unique voice and style lends itself to its own distinct genre of alternative R&B, and the rising star is also credited as a songwriter, rapper, guitarist and producer. Having spent her formative years living across the east coast as well as in her father’s native country, Ethiopia, Mereba further developed her artistry after moving to Atlanta. She credits Stevie Wonder, Lauryn Hill and Joni Mitchell as her greatest influences.

STEFFLON DON x Sensless Video

London-born rapper STEFFLON DON today releases the brand-new video for her single Senseless. The video is available to watch here.

The video for Senseless which was shot in Jamaica and co-directed by Steff is classic Stefflon Don – incredible outfits, exotic locations and Steff being her usual bombastic-self. The track, which stands as another strong female point of view and which has already topped over 3m plays on streaming platforms alone is already a live favorite and adds to her catalogue of over 250m streams across DSPs.

Hot off the back of her performances at BBC Radio 1’s Biggest Weekend and Capital’s Summertime Ball, Steff is set for a summer of festival appearances across Europe as well her first headline US tour starting in San Francisco. Stefflon Don has also just been announced as the first ever British Female to be a part of XXL’s iconic ߢ2018 Freshman Class alongside Ski Mask The Slump God, Lil Pump, Smokepurpp, J.I.D, Blocboy JB, YBN Nahmir, Wifisfuneral & Trippie Redd.

Last year, Steff went from strength-to-strength to cement her reputation as London’s most formidable young talent. From winning Best Female at the MOBO Awardsto Best Newcomer at this yearߣs NME, the Clapton-raised star continued to defy expectations, managing to release both the gritty Skepta-featured track Ding-A-Ling as well as the anthemic dancehall of her debut single Hurtin’ Me (which saw the artist land her first top 10 single). Less than six months later and Steff has world domination in her sights; having recently covered both ES Magazine as well as the last ever issue of NME, gone platinum on Hurtin’ Me (1.5M+ singles sold), amassed a monstrous 298M+ worldwide streams. With recent collaborations with the likes of Future, Quavo, Big Sean, Halsey, MC Fioti, Niska and CalvinHarris, there seems to be nowhere Steff can’t go.

Upcoming live dates:

DREAMVILLE RECORDING ARTIST LUTE RELEASES WEST 1996 PT. 2 PROJECT

Joins J.I.D And Earthgang on The Never Had Sh!t Tour

Dreamville/Interscope Records recording artist Lute will join fellow labelmates J.I.D and Earthgang on their upcoming Never Had Sh!t Tour which kicks off on November 2nd in Toronto, ON.  In addition to the release of West 1996 Pt.2, Lute also dropped a brand new visual for “Morning Shift” today.

The new project is the follow up to his first solo mixtape West 1996 which dropped in 2012. His mixtape success caught the ear of J. Cole who later signed the rising rapper to Dreamville Records in 2015. Lute also gives his fans a look into his life with the release of Lute: Still Slummin’ Documentary which can be seen HERE.

West 1996 Pt. 2 is a contemporary throwback featuring soulful production contributions from GRAMMY-winner Cam O’bi (“Ford’s Prayer” and “Premonition” feat. Earthgang), alongside Shiggy (“Home” feat. Elevator Jay and “Git Up’ feat. GQ Slaughter), Elite (“Ambitions”) and Save Allen (“Morning Shift“, “Crabs In A Barrel“ and “Livin’ Life” feat. High I’m Ry).  The first single “Juggin’,” also produced by Save Allen, serves as a metaphor for how Lute has approached his 28 years on the planet.

“This project is an accumulation of chapters and events leading up to Dreamville signing me. It’s a window into the last five years of my life…the obstacles, the challenges, the changes. It’s also motivation to not let people or circumstances define who you are. My only competition is the person I was yesterday. I’ve been patient and very appreciative of this platform and now its time to show what I’m capable of,” comments Lute.

If you haven’t already, check out the video for “Juggin’,” HERE.
