Mondo Cozmo Releases Your Motherf***er EP

Today Mondo Cozmo has returned with a vengeance with a new EP whose name you can’t say on the radio or TV. The critically acclaimed Philly-born and Los Angeles-based mohawked rock ‘n’ roll prophet has released Your Motherfucker EP today June 29 via Republic Records.

Check out Your Motherfucker EP Here: https://republic.lnk.to/YourMotherfkerPR

The EP follows up Mondo Cozmo’s critically acclaimed 2017 full-length debut, Plastic Soul—which housed the hits “Shine,” “Hold On To Me,” and “Automatic.” It saw him perform across the country to sold out shows and even made his television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

The four-track EP shows an elevated sound for Mondo Cozmo. “Tonight Tonight” (produced by John Hill (Portugal The Man), kicks off with rustling guitar that pick up into an infectious percussion. Soon, his voice takes hold, spinning a cinematic scene about “city boy blues” and “suicide queens” before the festival-ready chant, “Tonight, tonight, tonight.” Elsewhere on the EP, “Your Motherfucker” sounds like the bastard child of LCD Soundsystem and Jeff Buckley, marrying glitchy dancefloor beats and evocative lyricism. That’s just the half of it though. Check out the full tracklisting below!

Your Motherfucker EP comes right in the middle of his tour with Vance Joy. The sold-out dates have run across the country and continue into mid-July- see full tour dates at www.mondocozmo.com/tour

Mondo Cozmo

A disciple of Eddie Vedder, Bruce Springsteen, and The Verve, thus the Philadelphia-born, Los Angeles-based Mohawk-ed and tattooed troubadour Mondo Cozmo was born. Think Dylan fronting Oasis with Beck making the beats. Mondo Cozmo took over the rock world with his debut album Plastic Soul, which featured his #1 song “Shine.” He made his television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, performed at (almost) EVERY single music festival last summer,  toured with Bastille, opened for MUSE (to a crowd of over 10,000) and with Spoon. From the music industry to Hollywood – everyone has become a fan of Mondo Cozmo:  Dan Reynolds from Imagine Dragons crashed his stage in Las Vegas and the two of them did a cover of “Bittersweet Symphony” together, and his music videos have starred actresses Anna Faris(“Hold On To Me”),and Paz de La Huerta“Higher”. He was named top festival performer at Governors Ball (Consequence of Sound & Billboard), Bonnaroo (Entertainment Weekly), Boston Calling (Boston Music), Shakey Knees (Atlanta Music Guide), Forecastle Festival (Courier- Journal), Austin City Limits (Consequence of Sound) and Summerfest (Milwaukee Journal- Sentinal). In response to last year’s shootings in Las Vegas he penned “The Ballad of Vegas” a moving song discussing the heartbreak of the recent violence across the country- Listen Here. In addition, he was recently selected to speak at Grammy’s on the Hill in support of the Music Modernization Act where he spoke to Congressmen and women. Be ready for more Mondo Cozmo music in 2018.

BEAU YOUNG PRINCE RELEASES “KILL MOE”

Beau Young Prince is a quintessential product of his environment. While being so heavily influenced by your surroundings could hamper one’s sound as an artist, Prince uses it to his advantage. From his earliest work to his studio debut Until Then, Beau has personified versatility. You are as likely to hear BYP rap about falling in and out of love, as you are to hear him croon about getting a Half & Half from the carry-out joint down the street.

Jordan Smith’s New Hit Single

THE CHAINSMOKERS AT THE WILTERN

By Max Mason × Vaughn Lowery

Tonight, American Airlines and Mastercard presented The Chainsmokers (consisting of Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart)
at The Wiltern in Koreatown LA. The event was easily accessible via Metro LA [subway/trains] and ride-sharing apps. It was truly a whimsical experience coupled with pyrotechnics and special effects. Upon entrance, VIP guests were provided oversized glow sticks alongside of gift bags. The venue exhibited eye-catching architecture both inside and out. After gaining access, rewarded guests quickly made their way to various open bar stations sprinkled throughout the complex. Small bites in conjunction with numerous step and repeat banners constantly kept us alert with a plethora of blinking lights. The overall execution was an EDM fan’s dream and encapsulated the innate energy of the electronica genre. Their set was absolutely phenomenal, performing crowd favorites like “Closer” and “Don’t Let Me Down.”

“Growing Pains” Lyrics:
(verse 1)
Make my way through the motions
I try to ignore it
But home’s looking farther the closer I get
Don’t know why I can’t see the end
Is it over yet?

A short leash and a short fuse
Don’t match
They tell me it ain’t that bad
“now, don’t you overreact”
So I just hold my breath
Don’t know why I can’t see the sun
When young should be fun

(Pre-chorus)
And I guess the bad can get better
Gotta be wrong before it’s right
Every happy phrase engraved in my mind
And I’ve always been a go-getter
There’s truth in every word I write
But still the growing pains, growing pains
They’re keeping me up at night

(Chorus)
(hey hey x8)
And I can’t hide
‘cause growing pains are keeping me up
at night (x2)

(verse 2)
Try to mend what’s left
Of my content incomprehension
As I take on the stress
Of the mess that I’ve made
Don’t know if I even care for “grown”
If it’s just alone

(pre chorus)
(chorus)

(Bridge)
It’s starting to look like
Ms. Know-it-All can’t take her own advice
Can’t find
Pieces of my peace of mind
I Cry
More than I want to admit but I can’t lie
To myself, to anyone
Cause phoning it in isn’t any fun
Cant run
Back to my youth the way I want to
The days my brother was quicker to fool
AM radio, not much to do
Used monsters as an excuse
To lie awake
Now that monsters are the ones that I
Have to face
No band-aids for the growing pains
