G-SHOCK has welcomed Rui HachimuraWashington Wizards power forward and 2019 first round draft pick to Team G-SHOCK.

Hachimura, who became the first Japanese player ever drafted in the first round, is a great match for the brand, as they both represent absolute toughness and the ability to tackle new challenges.

New Campaign Centers Around Powerful Women Pushing the Boundaries of Time

Casio G-SHOCK recently launched the second of three videos in its powerful “24 Hours of Toughness” series, a campaign centered around influential women in the creative space and how they operate outside of the traditional 9 to 5.

Featuring Kauai, Hawaii native and female surf legend Malia Manuel, the campaign offers a behind-the-scenes look at Malia’s life on and off the board. Malia, who is a G-SHOCK ambassador, also became the youngest surfer ever to win the U.S. Open of Surfing at the age of 14.

“I love what I do and being able to inspire young female athletes,” said Malia. “As someone who doesn’t operate within the traditional 9 to 5, the campaign presented an exciting opportunity for me to showcase my everyday life and the place I love most.”

Nicky Jam always knew he wanted to do music, it’s something that came naturally to him, at just 12 years old, he was working at a supermarket and discovered this is what he enjoyed doing and it truly changed his life. “I got into music since the age of 12 years old, I was working at a supermarket and I would always be freestyling as I packed, one day a lady came in and spoke to my father and next thing I knew I was signed,” Jam said.

The Limited-Edition Collection Concludes the Journey of G-SHOCK Creator Mr. Ibe and Gorillaz Band Members.

Casio G-SHOCK announces the release of their second limited edition collection with British band, Gorillaz. Due to popular demand following the sold out 2018 collection, GORILLAZ X G-SHOCK is back with a unique collaboration featuring two limited-edition G-SHOCK styles, DW-5600 and GA-2000 designed by Gorillaz co-creator, Jamie Hewlett.

Inspired from two acclaimed albums from the Grammy and BRIT Award winning British band – ‘Gorillaz’ and ‘The Now Now,’ the collection concludes the adventures of G- SHOCK creator Mr. Ibe and Gorillaz band members – Noodle, Murdoc Niccals, Russel Hobbs and 2D. They return to Mr. Ibe’s Tokyo R&D Centre following a hair-raising trip through outer space to realize their mutually aligned intergalactic goals.

In honor of the album’s distinctive artwork, the classic DW-5600 model has been reimagined in celebration of Gorillaz’ most recent album, ‘The Now Now’. The design features a color combination of blue and pink with the bi-color message ‘NOW’ that floats onto the display whenever it is illuminated by the backlight. The watch also has Bluetooth capability which can be synced with G-SHOCK’s proprietary app, allowing access to a variety of features and functions direct from your Smartphone.

The second timepiece in the collection, the GA-2000 is the latest watch to be launched by G-SHOCK and features the iconic camo print familiar to Gorillaz fans worldwide to honor the Gorillaz’ 2001 eponymous debut release. This watch comes complete with two wrist bands – one featuring the camo print and the other in a darker military style, which can be easily interchanged and worn alternatively.

Today, Casio G-SHOCK announces the all-new, “Neo Tokyo” series of men’s timepieces. Inspired by the colors of the futuristic metropolises of classic anime films from the 1980’s, the four new watches boast blacked-out bezels with yellow, red, and blue hands as dial accents to represent the city’s lights.

Today, Casio G-SHOCK announces the brand new GA140 series; a collection of analog-digital watches that offer the same big case design as the brand’s popular GA100/110 series infused with a new deep dial design inspired by 90’s instruments.

New Timepiece Arrives in Translucent Case and Band with Premium Surf Data Tracking Capabilities

Today, Casio G-SHOCK unveils an all-new, limited-edition G-LIDE timepiece, in collaboration with professional surfer and G-SHOCK athlete, Kanoa Igarashi. Boasting superior functionality in surf data tracking and performance, the GLX5600KI-7 arrives in a translu1cent case with silver accents and boasts Kanoa’s signature on the case back, face and band.

The new watch is based on the G-LIDE GLX5600 which features a tide graph, an indispensable tool for surfers. The thin, square shape of the watch ensures that it does not obstruct the wrist while surfing. The GLX5600KI-7 features a semi-transparent body that evokes the ocean and is paired with a mirror finish face that gives the watch a simple, cool look. Igarashi’s “Kanoa” signature is inscribed on the upper center of the watch face and on the strap keeper and case back, as well as in illumination when the backlight is turned on.

At just 21 years old, the Huntington Beach, CA native has been in the professional surf scene for over a decade. Kanoa was an instant talent from the time he first jumped in the water at the age of 3, and by the time he was 11 he set a new record for the most victories in a single season. He has gone on to win a number of major surfing competitions and is currently a world-class professional surfer competing on the World Surf League Championship Tour at the top of the sport.
