Conan Gray Will Kick Off Tour

Buzzing 20-year-old bedroom pop singer-songwriter Conan Grayreturns to the road this fall for his next North American headline, “The Comfort Crowd” Tour. Tickets go on sale starting June 7th at 10am local time. Get them at www.conangray.com/tour.

The six-week run kicks off October 29 at The Pageant in St. Louis, MO, performs in major markets across the country including New York’s Terminal 5 on November 12th, and concludes with a two-night stand at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, CA December 11-12. Check out the full itinerary below.

“The Comfort Crowd” Tour follows his recent sold out European tour, and a momentous North American spring headline tour that saw him perform to sold out crowds in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Atlanta, New York, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Toronto, to name a few.

Gray continues to make major waves on his own terms. A string of hits has vaulted him to the forefront of modern pop. Most recently, his single “The King” clocked nearly 7 million Spotify streams and counting. Meanwhile, his Sunset Season EP put up impressive numbers, generating a staggering 80 million streams as he averages over 2.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify. No wonder, i-D crowned him “gen z’s ascendant king of sad boy pop,, MTV called him its new “Prince of Pop”, and Paper praised his, “unprovoked honesty. Right now, he’s putting the finishing touches on his full-length debut album —due out later this year.

Every online ticket purchased comes with one (1) CD of Conan Gray’s upcoming album. Ticket buyers will receive an additional email with redemption instructions to receive their albums. US/Canadian residents only.

Armed with nothing more than Garageband and a cheap microphone taped to a lamp, Conan Gray released his song “Idle Town” on his YouTube channel as an ode to his hometown of Georgetown, TX. The song went viral, and he later joined forces with LA based producer Dan Nigro to finalize his
Sunset Season EP, featuring singles “Generation Why” and “Crush Culture”. The EP debuted in November, 2018 to widespread critical acclaim from The FaderBillboard, and Ones To Watch, amongst others. In January, 2019, Conan made his television debut on Late Night with Seth Meyers, before opening for Panic at the Disco! for several shows on their arena tour. Conan has sold out two North American headline tours as well as his most recent May, 2019  European tour.  Recently called the ‘Prince of Pop’ by MTV, he will be performing at Lollapalooza in Chicago and Life is Beautiful this summer before headlining his next North American tour in the fall. Conan has been featured in Paper Magazine, I-D Magazine, and the Sunday Times.

Kailee Morgue US Tour With Poppy

Today Kailee Morgue announces she will be heading on a U.S. fall tour with Poppy for her Am I A Girl? Tour. Artist pre-sale tickets go on sale Wednesday, July 11th at 10am local timeand general on-sale begins Friday, July 13th at 10am local time at www.kaileemorgue.com.

Having just sold out her debut headline shows in New York and Los Angeles, Morgue jumps to theaters by joining Poppy’s fall twenty-date run through North America, including top cities Los Angeles (The Wiltern on October 31st), New York (Irving Plaza on November 20th) and Washington D.C. (9:30 Club on November 24th).

Recently Morgue released “Do You Feel This Way (Feat. Whethan). Check out the track here!

Of the song, Morgue says, “This is one of my favorite songs I’ve made because it is off axis just enough to blur my perspective between haunting and inviting. Teaming up with Whethan brought the perfect blend of hazy lethargy and upbeat skepticism to the track. It captures the unease of that feeling of not knowing how someone truly feels about you, and it still always makes me want to move when I hear it—it’s so fun to perform.”

“Do You Feel This Way” (feat. Whethan) follows Morgue’s single “F**k U”and her 2017 breakout track, “Medusa,” which catapulted her into an overnight success after she posted a live performance of the song on Twitter. “Medusa” became the title track from her debut EP, which was also released last fall and features her hit single, “Discovery.”

Tattooed, multi-color haired and anime-obsessed 19-year-old Phoenix-based gothic pop siren, Kailee Morgue, casts a sonic spell with her music. A self-described “introvert” and the second oldest of six kids, she found solace in the sounds of fellow sonic sorceresses, such as Stevie Nicks and Gwen Stefani, as well as bands like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and more. By the age of ten, she picked up her first guitar, began quietly penning music and eventually started posting tracks on Soundcloud.

Between a gig at Jack In The Box in 2016, an 18-year-old Morgue found the beat for her breakout track, “Medusa,” on YouTube and cooked up the single. She first teased the track with a brief Twitter video, and it ignited a viral reaction garnering 100,000 “likes” overnight. Over an airy, minimalistic soundscape, Morgue creates a hypnotic and heartfelt melody with haunting and powerful lyrics. “Medusa” peaked at #1 on Hype Machine, was hailed as “Best Track of the Week” by The New York Times, MTV, The Line of Best Fit and Coup de Main and its video premiered on The FADER. As “Medusa” became an underground phenomenon, Morgue inked a deal with Republic Records in the summer of 2017. Further music is set for release this summer.

Glass Animals share the official video for new single “Agnes”

Glass Animals Photo Credit: Neil Krug

Today, Glass Animals share the official video for new single “Agnes,” taken from their Mercury Prize shortlisted album How To Be A Human Being. Watch the video for “Agnes” HERE.

Deeply honest, beautiful and full of depth, “Agnes” is the most personal song lead singer Dave Bayley has ever written. Dave explains: “There are varying degrees of autobiography and my own life in each song I write…but for the most part, that stuff is buried and clouded in fiction or blended with other peoples’ lives that I’ve heard about in taxis or at parties or on the street. But there is one song that stands apart from the rest. it is the most truthful, honest, and personal story I have ever written. And that song is ‘Agnes.'”

The video, directed by Eoin Glaister, explores the weight of grief in an abstract way, by a Human Centrifuge, a machine used by pilots for g-force training. The subject’s body mass increases as it subjected to increasing amounts of gravitational force, and as the song progresses this is visibly showcased through Dave’s difficulty performing the song.

Eoin explains: “In searching for ways to explore the weight of grief I remembered my grandfather used to perform tests on a human centrifuge, Essentially it’s an extremely large bit of kit that spins around very quickly. As it does so it subjects its occupants to increased levels of g-force. The faster 4you go, the heavier you become. On the day Dave described this feeling as like having an elephant sat on his chest. It was emotional. Appropriately so.'”

Glass Animals continue to demonstrate why they are one of the true global breakthrough artists of 2016/17. How To Be A Human Being (Harvest Records) debuted in the Top 20 of the Billboard 200 and topped the iTunes Alternative Albums chart in the U.S. and Australia. Named as one of the “10 Best Albums of 2016” by USA Today, it has racked up nearly 80 million Spotify streams in the U.S. The Associated Press hailed it as “a complex, exciting tapestry of a CD which switches musical styles and reveals new things each time it’s played.” They have now been shortlist for the 2017 Hyundai Mercury Prize, have over 3 million monthly Spotify listeners and have sold over 900,000 albums worldwide since their debut, obliterating all expectations created by first album Zaba’s word of mouth buzz.

The band have already played a huge selection of international festivals including Primavera, Coachella, Glastonbury (which featured a lot of fans dressing as pineapples), Latitude, and Bonnaroo, as well as headlining a sold out 10,000 capacity Red Rocks in Colorado (at which there was a huge electrical thunderstorm). For the rest of the year, Glass Animals will continue their anomalous rise. The band are still to play Lollapalooza and Reading and Leeds before returning to their U.S. headline tour. The run will kick off on September 16 at WaMu Theater in Seattle and include a show at Los Angeles’ historic Shrine Auditorium (September 21) and the band’s first concert at Radio City Music Hall in New York City (October 5). Additional East Coast dates include shows at Agganis Arena in Boston (October 7) and two nights the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC (October 8 & 9). New York based artist Amber Mark will support Glass Animals on tour. Glass Animals will cap off the tour with a performance during Weekend Two of Austin City Limits Festival (October 13-15). See below for itinerary. Tickets are on sale now.
