Sheppard’s ‘On My Way’

Multi-platinum selling recording artist Sheppard is back with a brand-new single “On My Way” – available now via your preferred music platform! Cowritten by John Hume (co-writes with Dean Lewis, Sofi Tukker), the anthemic, uplifting song, which was originally penned as a stand-alone single, earned the band a nod to participate in the show which will select Australia’s next representative at Eurovision 2019! “On My Way” is the ultimate love song as singer George Sheppard explains:

“This song is about someone craving the uncontrollable heat and passion they feel when they are with the one they love. It’s about excitedly making their way to reunite with their lover, wherever that may be in the world.”

“On My Way” is the first new music since last summer’s sophomore effort Watching the Sky (June 8, 2018 via Empire of Song/Decca Records/Republic Records) which rocketed to the top of the charts globally, earning them their first #1 on the ARIA Album Chart in their home country of Australia and hitting Top 10 on the US iTunes Pop Charts. Watching the Sky spawned global smash “Coming Home,” which climbed to #1 on the AIRcharts and went double platinum in Australia while taking over radio charts across Europe and Mexico. The song debuted on US television on the TODAY Show and was featured in American Ninja WarriorAmerican Idol, Champions, and Lionsgate’s hit feature length animated film Early Man.

The band exploded onto the global stage with the massive success of 2015’s “Geronimo” – the RIAA Certified Double Platinum lead single from the band’s debut album Bombs Away. The song rose all the way to #53 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, Top 5 at AAA and landed them on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Today Show, and The Talk. Sheppard have also become mainstays on the festival circuit across the globe, performing at Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Summer Sonic, Rock in Rio, Billboard’s Hot 100 Festival, and many more to date.

Sheppard will perform “On My Way” at Eurovision – Australia Decides alongside Australia’s top talents to battle it out to become Australia’s 2019 Eurovision entry on February 9th as they continue their run as Australia’s royal family of pop.

Anuel AA

Since the release of the album “Real to death”, the pioneer of Trap Latino, Anuel AA, has not stopped receiving good news and a wonderful response from his fans, who have downloaded the songs from the album in a massive way, making him creditor of different recognitions just two months after its premiere.

Since its controversial launch and without having made a promotion to date, “Real to death” is already a Platinum record in the United States, and also holds the coveted certification of the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America). Taking into account that there are more strict requirements and it is more difficult to certify an album than a single, this has been a great achievement to be the first musical production of this exponent of the urban genre. Not just an achievement for him, but for the urban genre in general, since Anuel AA is the only Latin solo artist to obtain a Platinum Record for an album released this year.

“When we thought about making the record, we never imagined that all these blessings would come, especially being an independent label, which shows me that I must always be faithful to my genre and to the fans who have supported me from the beginning,” said Anuel AA.

On the other hand, some of the songs on the album, “Real hasta la muerte”, have received their own recognitions individually. The song “Yeezy”, a duet with the Puerto Rican Ñengo Flow, became a Gold Record, as well as “Na Nuevo”, for its large number of downloads on digital platforms.

For its part, the theme “Brindemos” along with his great friend and fellow genre, Ozuna, reached the rating of Double Platinum, while the themes “Want to drink” and “Hypocrite”, which performed a duet with Zion, reached both Platinum Disc certification.

About OLIVIA O’BRIEN:

Raised in Napa Valley, Olivia O’Brien has been singing and writing songs since she was seven years old, and taught herself to play both the guitar and piano. She began posting her originals on SoundCloud for fun, not thinking anything would come of it, until gnash reached out on Twitter last year after she posted a cover of one of his songs. When he asked her if she had any original material, Olivia sent him a voice-note of the beginnings of “i hate u i love u” and he invited her down to L.A. to record. “i hate u, i love u” is a global phenom since 2015. It became a Top 5 hit in the U.S. where it is certified RIAA triple-platinum, #1 in Australia (double-platinum), Top 10 UK (platinum), and Top 5 on iTunes in more than 50 markets.
