Dj Snake and Eptic “SouthSide”

DJ Snake and Eptic have teamed up on a new song, “SouthSide,” which is released today via Geffen Records and available from all digital partners.

Listen to “SouthSide” by DJ Snake and Eptic HERE.

The French DJ and producer and Belgian bass music prodigy teamed up after running into each other at the airport in London two years ago. “Snake said he wanted to work together, but only on one condition,” Eptic says. “We had to make the hardest track possible. It took a lot of time and elbow grease, but we ended up with something next level and I couldn’t be more proud. I’ve been opening with this for last few months and it absolutely destroys the dance floor.”

DJ Snake’s previous single “Taki Taki,” featuring Selena Gomez, Ozuna, and Cardi B, shot to No. 1 on iTunes in 25 countries, continuing his track record of global hits, from “Turn Down for What” to “Let Me Love You” to the club smash of last summer — his India-inspired “Magenta Riddim.” The video for “Taki Taki” is the sixth-fastest music video of all time to hit 100 million views on YouTube. Visit http://djsnake.com/tour/ for upcoming tour dates, which include appearances at Coachella on April 12 and April 19, and the sold out Pardon My French, featuring DJ Snake, Tchami X Malaa, and Mercer, at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver on April 26.

Twenty-five-year-old wunderkind Eptic has established himself as one of the brightest talents in bass music, earning millions of streams through a slew of powerhouse anthems including his remix of “Get With The Program” with Trampa, his collaboration with Zomboy on “Bop It,” and his re-work of Dillon Francis’ “Say Less” featuring G-Eazy.

FROM THE PRODUCER OF LA LA LAND AND WRITER/DIRECTOR MAX MINGHELLA, TEEN SPIRIT WILL BE IN THEATRES THIS APRIL

On April 5, Interscope Records will release Teen Spirit Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. In the film – which screened last night at the 2019 SXSW Film Festival and opens in April – Elle Fanning plays Violet, a shy teenager who dreams of escaping her small town and pursuing her passion to sing. With the help of an unlikely mentor, she enters a local singing competition that will test her integrity, talent and ambition. Making his directorial debut, Max Minghella creates a modern fairytale, scored to a lush pop soundtrack.

Elle Fanning’s soaring rendition of the iconic Robyn song “Dancing On My Own,” was released today along with the first official clip. Listen HERE and view the video HERE. Individuals can pre-order the album commencing today.

The 14-track collection also includes Fanning’s covers of songs by such preeminent female artists as Ellie Goulding (“Lights”), Annie Lennox (“Little Bird”), Tegan and Sara (“I Was A Fool”) and Sigrid (“Don’t Kill My Vibe”) plus “Wildflowers,” a new song written by Carly Rae Jepsen and Jack Antonoff. Fanning is joined by cast members on “Good Time,” which was a 2x Platinum hit for Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen. Clara Rugaard, who plays a fellow contestant, covers “Tattooed Heart,” a song from Ariana Grande’s 2013 album, Yours Truly. The original versions of No Doubt’s “Just A Girl,” Grimes’ “Genesis” and Major Lazer’s “Lean On” feat. MØ & DJ Snake also appear on the soundtrack.

Fanning put months of work into preparing for the role, working closely with executive music producer Marius de Vries and performing all the singing live. In addition to de Vries, the team assembled by Berger included music supervisor Steven Gizicki and music co-producer Eldad Guetta, who had also worked with the Berger on La La Land. (The La La Land soundtrack, released by Interscope Records in 2016, won a GRAMMY® Award.)

Teen Spirit stars Elle Fanning (The Beguiled, 20th Century Women), Zlatko Buric (Pusher, 2012) and Rebecca Hall (Christine, The Gift). Directed and written by Max Minghella (The Social Network, “The Handmaid’s Tale”) and produced by Fred Berger (La La Land, Destroyer). Executive Producers are Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot, Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool), Max Minghella, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones (I Think We’re Alone Now, Insidious film series), David Garett (Step Up, Happy-Go-Lucky), Dan Fisher (Low Tide), John Janick, Steve Berman, Anthony Seyler, Mickey Liddell (Jackie, I Can Only Imagine) and Pete Shilaimon (Anthropoid, Megan Leavey). DJ Snake ft. Selena Gomez, Ozuna & Cardi B

The official video for “Taki Taki” by DJ Snake featuring Selena Gomez, Ozuna, and Cardi B, directed by Colin Tilley, is out now. A sneak peak of the video first aired tonight in a commercial spot in partnership with YouTube Music during the American Music Awards.

Watch the video HERE.

Currently the most-streamed song in the world on Spotify for a week straight now, “Taki Taki” marks the second global number one record for the French DJ/producer (his first being “Lean On” ft. , his 2015 collaboration with Major Lazer), and a first number one for Selena Gomez, Ozuna, and Cardi B, who is the first female rapper to top the chart.

In addition, “Taki Taki” has peaked as the #2 song in the world on iTunes, and reached #1 on iTunes in 25 countries. Meanwhile, it’s also peaked as the #1 trending video on YouTube in the U.S.

The worldwide smash success of “Taki Taki” was boosted by Spotify’s recent launch of Global X — a new playlist full of rhythmic crossover hits from cultures around the world. Spotify accompanied the playlist’s launch with a unique vertical video for the bilingual, Latin-music-infused “Taki Taki,” which the platform hails as “a true mix of cultures.”

DJ Snake’s 2016 hit “Let Me Love You” ft. Justin Bieber reached a billion streams on Spotify. That achievement makes him only the fifth artist in Spotify history (along with Drake, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, and The Chainsmokers) to have two songs earn a billion streams each on the platform. DJ Snake first hit the billion-stream mark with “Lean On” ft. MØ, his 2015 collaboration with Major Lazer.

Having toured the world this summer, DJ Snake will return to the U.S. this fall for two very special shows. This Halloween season, the world-class producer will headline sold-out dates at New York City’s Avant Gardner (on October 26) and L.A.’s legendary Shrine (on October 31).

With its worldly rhythms and infectious energy, “Taki Taki” continues DJ Snake’s track record of global hits, from “Turn Down for What” to “Let Me Love You” to the club record of the summer: his India-inspired “Magenta Riddim. “Taki Taki” arrives ahead of DJ Snake’s forthcoming album, which is set to drop soon.

YELLOW CLAW × ECHOSTAGE DC

DO YOU LIKE BASS?

By Diana Macaraeg × Vaughn Lowery

(Featured photo by Harley Lunar)

On Friday night, DC’s Echostage presented EDM’s favorite Dutch DJ duo Yellow Claw (consisting of Jim Taihuttu and Nils Rondhuis), along with GRLZ, Boogie T, and Moksi. Ranked at #1 in DJ Magazine’s USA list of nightclubs, Echostage proved that it had no troubles selling out tickets with line down a block of crazed fans in rave attire and Yellow Claw gear.

GRLZ, Boogie T, and Moksi filled the two story venue with high energy, bass dropping beats that perfectly transitioned into Yellow Claw’s set.

Yellow Claw had started off with their signature intro song “Untouchable,” with its lyrics shown on the screen demanding the crowds attention. Their set included songs from their latest album New Blood, with a mix of their label Barong Family hits and previous collaborations from artists like Pusha T, DJ Snake, Lil Debbie, Sophie Simmons, Yade Lauren and many more. During the set, they were joined by one of their label artists and earlier performers, Moksi to perform their iconic Moksi Switch Up remixes.

After their performance, the crowd chanted their famous tagline, “Yellow Mother F***** Claw!” and they gladly returned to the stage playing an extra 10 minutes, along with giving their fans a special treat of playing their 2013 major hit, “DJ Turn it Up.”

Being a super fan/Yellow Claw Soldier since 2013, every concert, every mixtape, every album, every collaboration, every piece of merchandise, every documentary, Yellow Claw never ceases to amaze me. Being able to watch them live is to the only way to bow down to The Party Gods. #YMFC

Yellow Claws tour continues worldwide, and check out their latest music video, “Down on Love” ft. Yade Lauren & Moksi here.

Yellow Claw Flourishes with “New Blood” Album

Dutch DJ Duo Yellow Claw is quietly inching towards electronic dance music worldwide supremacy. Formed in 2010, the DJ group made a name for themselves hosting parties for the infamous Amsterdam club Jimmy Woo. Yellow Claw’s music style incorporates elements of trap, house, hip hop, dubstep, hardstyle and moombahton. The DJ Duo has racked up a number of successes over the years and by 2014, their name and music had spread like wildfire. Along the way they’ve worked with mega music artists Major Lazor, Iggy Azalea, DJ Snake, Quavo, etc. The DJ duo has sold out shows across the globe in the US, Europe and Asia. They’ve performed at major music festivals such as Tomorrowland, Electronic Daisy Carnival, Lollapalooza, Coachella, etc.  Last Spring, the DJ duo released their sophomore album “Los Amsterdam” which has since amassed over 200-million streams on Spotify and peaked at #1 on the iTunes Dance Albums chart. Not only have they dominated the charts, they have also recently hosted several sold out pop-up stores around the globe for their ‘Blood for Mercy’ clothing line throughout Tokyo, Los Angeles and Jakarta. With the release of their latest album, “New Blood”, Yellow Claw continues to have successful smash-hit singles while touring and playing festivals worldwide.
