Lil Mosey – Certified Hitmaker

Lil Mosey has been quietly plotting a takeover since his official entry into the rap game just two years ago. The Seattle rapper’s breakout hit, “Pull Up,” was the internet sensation that put him on the map, racking up millions of views and eventually landing the precocious teen at Interscope Records. His debut album, Certified Hitmaker, is out today, Friday, November 8.

The 14-track album also features collaborations with Trippie Red, AJ Tracey and R&B superstar Chris Brown on “G Walk.” Mosey leaked a sizzling new song this week, “Live This Wild,” and on Wednesday, the prolific 17-year-old launched a Fan Only experience in honor of the album’s release with a free concert at The Echo in Los Angeles. He will follow up with two more free shows on Monday, November 11 at SOBs in New York and Sunday, November 24 at Neumos in his hometown of Seattle.

The lead single, “Stuck In A Dream” featuring Gunna, is currently in rotation on Spotify’s “Today’s Top Hits,” the streaming platform’s largest global playlist with nearly 25 million followers. The song also cracked the Global Top 50 at #46, while the accompanying music video has reaped over 14 million views in just one month. Stateside, the track is at #16 with Lil Mosey’s growing catalog has collectively been streamed a whopping 1.9 billion times globally.

After dropping a string of successful one-off singles, touring across the US, and appearing on the cover of XXL’s prestigious Freshman Class issue, Lil Mosey dropped Northsbest to critical acclaim. Propelled by fan favorites, “Boof Pack” and the platinum hit single “Noticed,” the project was recently certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Earlier this year, Lil Mosey became the youngest artist to successfully launch a music festival, Northsbest Fest, in Seattle. The album Certified Hitmaker is available worldwide on all digital platforms via Mogul Vision/Interscope Records.

Born and raised in Bushwick and of Puerto Rican descent, Anthony Ramos first made his mark originating the dual roles of John Laurens and Philip Hamilton in the TONY® and GRAMMY® Award-winning Broadway smash Hamilton.  In 2018, Ramos ignited his music career as an independent solo artist on his own terms. Not only did he lend his voice to Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “Almost Like Praying” benefit single, but he also began architecting a sharp and soulful signature take on contemporary music. He teamed up with producer Will Wells [Logic, Pentatonix] for The Freedom EP, which garnered acclaim from Billboard and many others.

In 2018, Ramos appeared in the Academy Award-winning film A Star Is Born, directed by Bradley Cooper and starring Lady Gaga where he played ‘Ally’s’ (GaGa) best friend. Most recently, he starred in the critically-acclaimed Netflix series She’s Gotta Have It, created by Spike Lee, based on his 1986 film.

Next up, Ramos will grace the screen once again as the lead role in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s highly-anticipated ‘In the Heights’ movie directed by Jon M. Chu for Warner Bros to be released in June 2020.

Kash Doll has had an amazing year setting her up for her highly-anticipated debut album. She received a 2019 BET Award nomination for “Best Female Hip-Hop Artist,” toured the country with Meek Mill and received critical acclaim for “Ready Set” feat. Big Sean, which received coverage from Billboard, The FADER, Complex, MTV, HotNewHipHop and more.

Detroit native Kash Doll has impacted the music industry with a commanding force, dropping street-earned truths with her throwback wordplay and powerful bars. The one-two combination of spirit and sass announced her as fiery female force in 2019 after quietly amassing 30 million-plus on-demand streams, garnering the BMI Social Star Award and “Issa Wave Award” at the BET Social Awards, securing a new management deal with Title 9 Productions and inking a recording contract with Republic Records. An unbelievable story brought her to this point. Losing her dad on just her first birthday, she always held down multiple jobs to support her mom and siblings. And at 18, she started investing in herself eventually opening two beauty bars and funding her own music career. She made waves on the 2014 independent debut mixtape, Keisha Vs. Kash Doll. Following 2016’s Trapped In The Dollhouse, she developed a presence as a touring force and earned coveted co-signs from Drake, Big Sean, Rick Ross, Remy Ma, and many more. The 2018 The Vault mixtape captured #1 on multiple mixtape sites as her debut single for Republic Records “Ice Me Out” and its 2 Chainz-assisted official remix clocked 85 million-plus total streams. Last year, Kash Doll also released a project solely for her fans titled Brat Mail to thank them for all their continued support. The project garnered over 27 million global streams and features the break out single “Check.” Shortly before Brat Mail, Kash released one of her biggest singles to date, “For Everybody,” which racked up over 101 million YouTube/VEVO views independently. Outside of music, this boss runs Kash Doll Enterprises and does charity work around her hometown. Her city bestowed the “Spirit of Detroit” Award upon her.

ABOUT DAVE EAST:
Praised for his lyricism and raw storytelling, and blessed with a loyal New York following, Dave East is one of the most promising rappers on the scene today. Born and raised in Harlem, he was inspired by older generation East Coast rappers ranging from Notorious B.I.G. to Styles P, Jadakiss, Cam’ron, and Big Pun. After a college basketball stint, Dave’s attention gravitated full time to music. Starting in 2010, he released an array of critically acclaimed mixtapes that earned him widespread recognition in the hip-hop community. His seventhmixtape, 2014’s Black Rose caught Nas by surprise, and resulted in Dave’s signing to Nas’ Mass Appeal imprint.  Subsequent mixtapes Hate Me Now (2015) and Kairi Chanel (2016, named for Dave’s daughter), boasted a collective guest list topped by Nas, Styles P, Pusha T, Jadakiss, 2 Chainz, Fabolous, Cam’ron, Beanie Sigel, Rico Love, and The Game, to name just a few.  Kairi Chanel led off with the storytelling visual for “Keisha” followed by “Type Of Time”, with over 12 million combined YouTube views to date. After nabbing a spot in the notorious XXL Freshman Class of 2016, Dave arrived on the Def Jam roster late that year.  He was first heard on “Gold Digger” featuring A-Boogie, from Def Jam’s Direct Deposit Vol. 2 compilation (February 2017).

Paranoia: A True Story marked Dave’s official Def Jam debut EP in August 2017 (with “Perfect” featuring Chris Brown).  The Paranoia 2 mixtape followed in January 2018.  It was supported by a 10-minute short film, “The Hated,” a gritty drama centering on two childhood friends who get caught up in the street hustle that eventually lands one of them in the Rikers Island lockup.  Dave’s profile was amped considerably on his 23-city cross-country “Paranoia 2 Tour” of the U.S. in January-February 2018.  He then jumped into the ring for Beloved( October 2018), a mixtape collabo with invincible Yonkers MC Styles P.  The project spun off a single, “We Got Everything,” whose video starring both MCs.  Dave segued into headlining his 23-city “Get It How I Live Tour” of the U.S. in November-December 2018.

Mabel’s High Expectations

Mabel has released her debut album High Expectations today. High Expectations features global smash “Don’t Call Me Up” (the biggest-selling single by a UK female artist this year) and recent Top 10 “Mad Love”.   Mabel will perform at this year’s Teen Choice Awards airing live August 11 on FOX, as the only solo female artist– alongside an extensive run of live dates this summer where she’ll hit New York,
Los Angeles, and D.C. Mabel’s “Don’t Call Me Up” also entered the
Billboard Hot 100 Chart and graced radio airwaves across the U.S.

Even on the brink of release, Mabel appears poised to take her place on
pop’s throne – having already been nominated for two BRIT Awards, she
has surpassed 1 billion streams, and sold out a series of worldwide
shows. and made her national TV debut on The Tonight Show Starring
Jimmy Fallon earlier this summer.

The fact that Mabel has done so in her own warts-and-all style – stripping away music’s artifice whilst keeping true to its giddiness and excitement – may be her gift. Because like all great pop stars, Mabel was never going to settle for anything
other than her own High Expectations: watch her seize her moment, soak
it in, and keep reaching higher still.

Empowered, uplifting and emotive, High Expectations is a record – and a state of mind, in many ways – that Mabel has worked towards her whole life; even going so far
as to get the title tattooed phonetically on her neck when she first
thought of it two years ago, knowing firmly that it would never change.

Here is a still just 23-year-old writing with startling candour on
young love, identity, girl power, and mental health. And on that road
to High Expectations, Mabel’s music has become a soundtrack – for her
impassioned young fanbase, but also for herself – on how to turn those
vulnerabilities into your advantages.

Brittany Howard’s Debut Solo

Brittany Howard ߝ lead vocalist/guitarist for the chart-topping, GRAMMY winning bandAlabama Shakes will release her debut solo album, Jaime, on September 20 via ATO Records. Today, she shared the lead off track, History Repeats. Download History Repeats HERE and listen HERE. Pre-order Jaime HERE.

History Repeats is as much a personal song as it is a song about us as a human species. Our times of success may propel us forward, but our repeating failures hold us back from evolving into harmony,Éd; says Brittany Howard, who posted her mission statement for the album earlier today. See below for links to her social media.

Howard will support the album with a North American tour, which includes two-night stands at intimate venues in Asheville, NC, Washington, DC and Los Angeles. The headline run will also include shows at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville (August 19) and New York City’s Beacon Theatre (September 24). See below for full itinerary. Howard and her band made their live debut last week at the prestigious Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

The fan ticket pre-sale begins today at 10:00 AM local time. Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, June 28, at 10:00 AM local time unless otherwise noted below. Every online ticket purchased for U.S. dates on the fall tour will include a CD of the new album, Jaime.

Citi is the official pre-sale credit card of the Brittany Howard 2019 North American tour. As such, Citi cardmembers will have access to purchase pre-sale tickets beginning today at 10:00 AM through Thursday, June 27, at 10:00 PM local time through Citi EntertainmentSM. For complete pre-sale details visit www.citientertainment.com.

Howard recorded Jaime after a cross country drive that took her from Nashville to a small house in Topanga, CA a rustic Los Angeles county town wedged between the mountains and the beach. She titled the album after her sister, who taught her to play the piano and write poetry, and who died of cancer when they were still teenagers.

The title is in memoriam, and she definitely did shape me as a human being, saysBrittany Howard. But, the record is not about her. It’s about me. I’m pretty candid about myself and who I am and what I believe. Which is why I needed to do it on my own.

While Howard admits it was daunting, stepping out alone from her work with Alabama Shakes and revealing so much of herself, it was a necessary step. I turned 30 and I was like, What do I want the rest of my life to look like? she recalls. Do I want to play the same songs until I’m 50 and then retire, or do I do something that’s scarier for me? Do I want people to understand me and know me, do I want to tell them my story? I’m very private, but my favorite work is when people are being honest and really doing themselves.

She brought a handful of finished songs into engineer Shawn Everett’s L.A. studio. Once she started working with the band she had assembled a core group of Alabama Shake’s bassist Zac Cockrell, innovative jazz-based keyboard player Robert Glasper and drummer Nate Smith the music started to take shape. Different sounds and approaches began to emerge. Howard examines spiritual ritual on He Loves Me and celebrates love with Georgia. Goat Head is informed by the experience of growing up as a mixed-race child in the South while 13th Century Metal grew out of Glasper and Smith jamming in the studio. See below for track listing.

As the front woman and guitarist for Alabama Shakes, Howard has become one of music’s most celebrated figures. The band has won four GRAMMY Awards and topped the Billboard 200 with the Gold-certified Sound & Color, the follow-up to its Platinum debut album, Boys & Girls. Howard has performed everywhere from the Obama White House to the main stage at Lollapalooza, where she sang with Paul McCartney at his invitation. In between albums and tours with Alabama Shakes, Howard grows restless. To me, there is no time off  I’m a creative person and I need to create, or I just feel weird, not fully human, she says. She’s channeled that relentless creativity into Jaime, her most revelatory work yet.

Vérité Unveils New Single “Gone”

Singer, songwriter Vérité unveils Gone today, her first single in two years, NYLON. Co-written and produced by singer-songwriter Madi Diaz and Konrad Snyder, the song reintroduces the musician, capturing the devastating effects of something ending. Carried by haunting crescendos and is powerhouse vocals, the track sees the singer pleading for time to stand still for a little while longer before her world turns upside down.

BUY/STREAM GONE

Vérité said about the song, Gone is about the moment before an inevitable shift. It’s the feeling of sitting still, taking in your surroundings, and burying yourself in a final scene. It’s about accepting an action as simple as getting dressed can delineate an end. It’s about leaving something/someone you’ve known behind and how the massive swell of frenetic potential energy that is all encompassing in that moment becomes a tiny blip in retrospect. It’s about being done and moving on. The sentiment is simple, the reality—overwhelming.

Gone speaks to a larger theme Vérité will be focusing on with her sophomore album: capturing the nuance of being in a relationship that isn’t romanticized or idealized. The single is the first taste of a forthcoming album Vérité has coming down the pipeline.

Following the release of her 2017 LP Somewhere In Between, Vérité has become the definition of thriving in the new music industry as an independent artist. Since her project began, Vérité has garnered a 250M+ streams across all platforms with a 1.4+ monthly listeners. Her debut album has over 50M streams, while her cover of The 1975’s Somebody Else has been streamed 111M times.

Madison Beer releases “Dear Society”

Today, rising independent pop singer-songwriter Madison Beer released Dear Society’, the first single off her debut album, due out this summer.  The catchy single, co-written by Madison, is accompanied by a vintage, yet futuristic video, co-directed by The Young Astronauts and Madison. ‘Dear Society’ explores the constant pressure to be perfect in today’s society.

“’ Dear Society’ is my letter to our culture expressing the pressure I feel from everyday life in today’s world.” Says Madison. “I know this is such a common struggle for so many people in my generation and I want this song to be an anthem for my fans so they know they are not alone; we are all in this struggle together.” Shot with a grainy, vintage aesthetic, the video mix’s elements of cult thrillers and psychological horror as it subtly shares the songs deeper message about the harmful effects of societal pressure.

Recorded in LA, Madison wrote ‘Dear Society’ with Elizabeth Lowell Boland, Leroy Clampitt, Timothy Sommers, and Jeremy Dussoliet. It is produced by Big Taste and One Love. Recognized by Billboard on their 2018 “21 Under 21” roster of the most promising young talents in music, Madison proves that she is in control and has never been more confident as an artist. ‘Dear Society’ follows Madison’s ‘Hurts Like Hell’ ft. Offset, (which has amassed 115 million+ streams), and debut EP ‘As She Pleases’, (which has amassed 500 million+ streams), released in 2018. After selling out her first ever European and US headline tour last spring, Madison will hit the road again, both in the US and Europe, this fall.

About Madison Beer

Madison Beer is an independent artist breaking in a major way. Her debut EP, ‘As She Pleases’ (which spawned ‘Home With You’, ‘Say It To My Face’ and ‘Dead’), has notched up over 500 million combined streams and accumulated Gold certifications in 3 countries after debuting in the Top 5 on iTunes in 18 countries and in the Top 10 in 42 countries worldwide.  Recognized by Billboard on their 2018 “21 Under 21” roster of the most promising young talents in music, Madison proves that she is in control and has never been more confident as an artist. “deep, soulful vocals” – Billboard

“her truest test of artistry is in her music, which she writes herself.” – V Magazine

“she’s proving to be a name on the rise” – Complex

Olivia O’Brien could go on and on rattling off “lame excuses from guys” that you screenshot and forward to your friends for commiseration, sympathy, a laugh, or often response advice…

You don’t need to ask what to say anymore though because the 19-year-old critically acclaimed Los Angeles based singer and songwriter presents the answers on her 2019 full-length debut due this spring via Island Records.  “I wrote this in a really dark place” she says, “and I hope I can help other people who may be in that same spot. My idea was for you to listen to the album when you’re feeling sad and by the end, you’ll feel better without even realizing it.

Their actions also had her asking if any of those relationships were even real.  On the flip side, you can believe her words, and that’s why she made a major dent in pop music. The purple-haired songstress put up legit numbers, racking up more than a billion streams by 2019.  She arrived as the rare talent who can share a song with everyone from G-Eazy and Drew Love of THEY. to gnash and received early support from the likes of Paper, The Coveteur, NYLON, V Magazine, and Idolator.

Now, Olivia takes everything back by way of her first record. “Obsessed with guitar,” she nodded to influences as diverse as Tame Impala, Kid Cudi, Amy Winehouse, and Fleetwood Mac.  The introductory single “Love Myself” serves as the album’s finale, but it also earmarks the beginning. Hinging on dreamy clean guitar, she turns her voice inward as she confesses in a booming chorus, “I don’t need to know who I am yet. I don’t need to have a solid plan yet. I don’t need to be the same as everyone else. I just need to motherfucking love myself.”

“I should love myself, but I don’t,” she goes on. “I should treat myself better, but I don’t. It doesn’t have the same unattainable note that a lot of happier, confident songs have. So much other shit is like, ‘I already love myself. I’m confident. I’m great’. This is more attainable. It starts with being easier on yourself. So many kids are depressed. I wanted to end on a high note.
