Cardi B, Jorja Smith and MØ to play Roskilde Festival 2019

More than 180 music acts will play Roskilde Festival 2019. The Cure, Robyn, Travis Scott, Christine and the Queens, Tears for Fears and many more have already been announced, and they will be joined by 28 new artists from five different continents.

The queen of hip-hop
Straight out of the Bronx, 26-year-old Cardi B is set to headline Northern Europe’s biggest festival. The undisputed queen of hip-hop is responsible for chart-topping singles including Bodak Yellow and I Like It from her debut blockbuster album Invasion of Privacy. With seven Grammy nominations to her name, she is the first female rapper in 19 years to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart and the first ever to have three singles in the top 10 at the same time.

English R&B and pop revelation Jorja Smith is also heading for the stars: Having won the Critics’ Choice at the Brit Awards, Jorja Smith finally released her acclaimed debut album Lost & Found last year. The 21-year-old has worked with artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Kali Uchis and Stormzy, and it is no surprise that she is nominated for Best New Artist at the 2019 Grammys.

Early in her career, Danish superstar  enjoyed a breakthrough on Roskilde Festival’s talent stage. Off the back of her new album Forever Neverland, the Dane is ready to conquer the iconic Orange Stage once again.

Head of programme Anders Wahrén says:
“Cardi B, Jorja Smith and MØ are very different artists, but they’re all bonafide stars. From hip-hop to R&B to pop, they’re shaping the musical landscape, and we can’t wait to see them triumph at Roskilde Festival 2019.”

Bring Me the Horizon are back at Roskilde, this time for a rock lesson on the main stage. Reinvigorated stoner hip-hoppers Cypress Hill are also ready for a triumphant return, 23 years after their last visit, off the back of acclaimed new album Elephants On Acid.

All hail the songwriters of the future
Australian artist Stella Donnelly is one of the most hyped songwriters out there despite not yet having released a full album. Tackling very difficult subjects, her razor-sharp lyrics are personal and brutally honest. Julien Baker, equally, deals with tough issues such as sexuality and self-doubt. She is also part of the alternative supergroup boygenius together with Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus. The latter is also announced today, having released one of the most praised indie rock albums of 2018, Historian.

Virtually unknown outside of London, teenage quartet Black Midi are deemed the next big thing in the UK: Fans of math-rock and noise will have plenty to look forward to here. Plus there’s more from Sophie, Khruangbin, Girlpool and many more.

Roskilde Festival 2019 will be full of talents, and this is reflected in the festival’s Art Zone as well. Danish artists Alexander Tillegreen, Biba Fibiger and Ida Sønder Thorhauge are among the first to be announced for the arts programme along with acclaimed Brazilian artist Assume Vivid Astro Focus who will build a colourful, psychedelic stage in the Art Zone.

Isaac Gracie’s Debut Album

Isaac Gracie’s highly anticipated, self-titled debut album is out now via Virgin EMI/Republic Records.

The album was largely produced by Markus Dravs at RAK Studios in London and features eleven tracks, including Gracie’s recent tracks, “Last Words,” “Terrified” and “The Death of You & I.” See the full tracklisting below.

Of his debut album, Gracie says, “Over the course of the two years it took to complete this record, I learnt more about myself and about music than I had in the entirety of my prior life. It was the biggest test I’ve ever undertaken and a winding journey that I won’t forget. To now have the record as a physical representation of a heavy and formative time in my life, that can be traced and re-remembered through listening to it, is an awesome and unique reward for the time and effort and love that was spent.”

In celebration of the album, Gracie is set to embark on a UK tour throughout April, followed by a European tour throughout May. See the full list of show dates below. Tickets are available now here.

23-year-old London-raised singer-songwriter Isaac Gracie has been finding his feet, working out who he is and discovering what he wants since the industry spotlight fell on him. The fuss was caused by a dusty-sounding, careworn home recording of “Last Words” that was uploaded online without expectation and any anticipation of what was to follow. The voice behind it was completely new to the premise of where writing a great song might lead him. Even now he’d tell you that he’s still slowly working it all out, but this debut collection sounds as fully-realized and confident as any of recent memory. Isaac Gracie is a new British voice, poetic in his placement of words and accomplished in their delivery.

Freewheel Holidays

Curious about castles? A UK company specializing in self-guided bicycle vacations throughout Europe offers itineraries from Italy to Denmark that reveal secrets of courtly lives on the other side of the moat.

Freewheel Holidays’ self-guided tours include, among others, inn and/or bed and breakfast accommodations, bike rental, luggage transfers, route maps and notes, services of a tour host including welcome and information talk.

France is first up on Freewheel Holidays’ castle-driven itineraries. Cyclists can tour the Paris royal countryside – think Fontainebleau — on a six-day Paris to Versailles adventure at £909 per person double. Departures are from April through October. One lunch stop is the Castle of Vaux le Vicomte of Blandy, a rare example of medieval architecture. The 17th century Castle de Courances opens onto magnificent grounds including a water park. Étampes (Royal City) dates to the 7th century. Fontainebleau with over 1,500 rooms boasts eight centuries of continuous occupation by sovereigns. In the royal city of Dourdan is the early 13th century Château de Dourdan. The Château de Rambouillet began life as a fortified manor in the 14th century. This trip concludes with a visit to the masterpiece of Louis XIV, Versailles, one of the most beautiful achievements of 18th-century French art. More details here.

Dordogne Villages and Castles is an eight-day program from £749 per person double. Departures are mid March through mid October. Here are Château de Losse and gardens near the Lascaux pre-historic caves. In this archaeologically rich region is the château village of Beynac perched upon a cliff. Château de Caudon dates to Louis XVI. Along the Dordogne River are Château de Monfort and Château de Gourdon. More details here.

A seven-day tour, Loire Valley Castles, is from £599 per person double. Departures are from late April to late September. Steeped in history, Amboise is a market town celebrated for Château de Chenonceau that has spanned the river here since the 16th century. Château du Clos Lucé was home to Leonardo for three years and where some of his remarkable inventions are on display. Along the Loire are, among others, the 17th century Château de Cheverny and Château Royal de Blois in a community dating to the 6th century. Romantic castles surrounded by fields of wheat and poppy include Fougères-sur-Biévre and the Renaissance Château de Beauregard. Chambord is one of the most famous and majestic of the Loire castles. More details here.

The United Kingdom offers this stunner, a six-day Stamford to Lincoln cycling tour that visits Belvoir Castle that has gone through four iterations dating to 12th century Norman ruins; William the Conqueror’s 11th century edifice, Lincoln Castle; and Burghley, one of England’s greatest 16th century houses. The per person double rate is £699. Departures are available mid-April to the end September. More details here.

Two castle tours in Denmark include the eight-day Funen Fairytale Island tour available at £979 per person double from now through end August. Often referred to as the garden of Denmark, it is the birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen and home to the 16th century Castle Egeskov, hosting a fine collection of old cars, airplanes and bicycles. More details here.

On the eight-day Copenhagen and Zealand Circuit cyclists explore the castle of Gavnø, dating to the late 12th or early 13th century. Grounds here sport over half a million bulbs, a rose garden and many rare plants and trees. An immersion in Viking lore reveals 10th century Trelleborg, one of seven known ring castles and the best rebuilt castle of the Viking period in Denmark. Cathedral of Roskilde is the place where most of Denmark’s kings and dynasties have their graves. Guests may also visit the Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen. Per person double rates are from £829. More details here.

In Austria a seven-day Innsbruck to Salzburg tour is from £649 per person double with departures from end April to early October. High atop a hill in Salzburg, the city of Mozart, is Hohensalzburg Castle, a fortress dating to 1077. More details here.

In Italy,Freewheel Holiday’s Milan to Lake Como is a four-day tour from £259 per person double. Departures are early April to end October. The 14th century Castle of Trezzo sull’Adda is on a site occupied once by the Celts and overlooking a landscape that fascinated Leonardo da Vinci. More details here.

Scarlet Pleasure

DANISH TRIO SCARLET PLEASURE SHARE NEW SONG “GOOD TOGETHER” VIA VIRGIN RECORDS

Band Will Make U.S. Live Debut At School Night On October 23 And The Peppermint Club On October 25 In Los Angeles

LISTEN HERE:

https://VirginRecords.lnk.to/Spgoodtogether
Scarlet Pleasure are back with the new single “Good Together“- yet another soul warming post card from the Danish trio, who in 2017 delivered two major Danish hits, wrapped in their own unique sound and strong lyrics about escapism, paranoia, karaoke, and Vespas. “Good Together” is available for streaming and purchase via Virgin Records HERE.

Scarlet Pleasure will make their U.S. live debut in Los Angeles, CA at School Night on October 23 and The Peppermint Club on October 25.

“It’s a song about a shipwrecked relationship, a feeling of uncertainty and what it could have developed into – but sometimes destiny decides differently,” says lead singer Emil Goll about “Good Together.” And namely destiny is practically synonym to the stories that Scarlet Pleasure has unwrapped on their latest releases. Goll further explains: “Life is in many ways a series of coincidences that are reflected by the choices we have made in the past. And we like to dive into these choices, both the good and the bad.”

With the single “Déjà VuScarlet Pleasure introduced a brand-new sound built around the DNA of the band: drums, bass, guitar, and vocal. The song went number 1 on the Danish Airplay Chart four weeks in a row and “Déjà Vu” is now certified Platinum in Denmark.

In June, the single “Limbo” and an EP by the same name followed. 15 weeks after the release, the single is still in the Top 5 and both the single and the EP have been certified Gold in Denmark. The two massive hits have set the course for a totally sold out tour in Denmark in November. In March 2018 Scarlet Pleasure, will perform their biggest shows so far at the two Danish arena venues – Scandinavian Congress Center in Aarhus and Forum in Copenhagen.

Scarlet Pleasure consist of childhood friends Alexander, Emil and Joachim, who formed the band in Copenhagen in 2013 and quickly got their big commercial breakthrough with the single “Heat” (2x platinum in Denmark). Since then, the band has since their debut been nominated “Best Danish Group” at the Danish Grammys 2016, played the biggest venues and festivals in Denmark, toured with Lukas Graham and streamed more than 60 million times on Spotify.
