Salute The Troops Music and Comedy Festival Changes Venue, Adds New Artists The Inaugural LA-Area Festival Featuring World-Famous Musicians and Comedians Moves to the Fox Theater and Glass House in Downtown Pomona

Salute the Troops Music and Comedy Festival is proud to announce that the inaugural event will now move to downtown Pomona, CA for the weekend of March 22-24. Headlining artists will perform at the iconic venue, the Fox Theater Pomona, as well as the Glass House.   

On the move, festival founder Nate Parienti and co-founder John Wertz (USMC) said, “The Marines have always been known for their ability to rapidly respond on short notice and it is with that same “Esprit de Corps” that we have quickly adapted and we’re very excited to have found a great new home in downtown Pomona, CA. I want to especially thank the teams at the Glass House and the Fox Theater”

New artists have also been confirmed to perform, including The Dan Band, So So Topic, folk singer-songwriter Pablo Dylan, Prince-collaborator Andre Cymone, playing a set with his band and also collaborating with Prince’s former band – New Power Generation for a special Prince tribute, local hip hop artists Slay Squad, as well as local artists DAISEand The Grinns and comedians Greg Fitzsimmons and Walker Hayes. They’ll join Snoop Dogg, Cold War Kids, Capital Cities, members of the Wu-Tang Clan, comedians Adam Carolla, Rob Riggle and more.

Salute The Troops Music And Comedy Festival was founded by Nate Parienti and co-founded with John Wertz (USMC 2001-2006) of Semper Fi Productions.

Cold War Kids on Late Night

Today, Cold War Kids announce their upcoming performance on Late Night with Seth Meyers. Tune in to see them perform their single “Can We Hang On?” which will air June 18 on NBC.

This news coincides with the exciting announcement of two upcoming headline dates this summer: Asbury Lanes in Asbury Park, NJ on August 11 and Brooklyn Steel in Brooklyn, NY on August 13. Tickets are on sale today.

Recorded at The Georgia Theatre in Athens, GA on September 24, 2017, Audience takes its title from a song that appeared on Cold War Kids 2017, Behave Yourself. The career-spanning live set, available now on Capitol Records, also features key songs from each of the band’s six studio albums, including “We Used to Vacation,” “Hang Me Up To Dry,” and “Hospital Beds,” from Cold War Kids 2006 debut, “Robbers & Cowards,” and “Miracle Mile” and “Bottled Affection” from 2013’s Dear Miss Lonelyhearts. The band’s most recent releases are represented with “All This Could Be Yours,”and the Gold-certified, Alternative Songs chart topper “First” from 2014’s Hold My Home plus “So Tied Up,”  and “Restless,” and “Can We Hang On?”; which originally appeared on LA Divine, the band’s 2017 sixth studio album. Cold War Kids x “So So So So Tied Up Remix” EP

The band Cold War Kids release their new EP So So So So Tied Up today on all digital platforms. The six-set collection features remixes of the bands hit single “So Tied Up” featuring British singer/songwriter Bishop Briggs. The single is fast approaching Top 15 at Alternative Radio and TIME Magazine hailed the song as “enticing” and noted, “This one is a fast -paced toe tapper with a stadium-sized arrangement. As far as angsty passionate themes to conflicted love affairs go, this one ticks all the right boxes.”

Cold War Kids will perform a free show at Union Station in Los Angeles on Friday, June 23rd.  The show, in partnership with Sofar Sounds, and Metro Art Presents is open to the public on a first come first service basis and fans can visit to enter to win a limited number of guaranteed entry spots to the show.  The band’s new album LA Divine– their sixth studio L.P. and first for Capitol Records is out now.  The album pays tribute to Los Angeles in all its strange glory, embodying the Long Beach band’s endless fascination with their adopted hometown.
