About Bear Walker

Walker is a designer, maker, and a seeker of adventure. He has always had a passion for art and technology growing up. Walker attended Clemson University studying graphic design and product development, where in his senior year he was tasked with designing a skateboard with various printing techniques. Designing around 40 pieces was the start to his amazing career. He has also worked as a book designer for Amazon, a prop fabricator for an events company, and a sign maker. Now he uses his skills and craftsmanship to produce the highest quality and one-of-a-kind skateboards for people.

ANDRE THE GIANT 

​Orlandus Andre Branch (born July 14, 1989) is an American football defensive end for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Clemson. 


An electrifying defensive end for the NFL, Andre Branch is entering his second year with the Miami Dolphins, his first of a three-year contract extension. By all accounts, 2016 proved to be a break out season for Branch as he racked up 49 combined tackles, 5.5 sacks and two forced fumbles while playing in all 16 games. A first team All- ACC pick during his senior year at Clemson University, he was selected as the 38th pick overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the second round of the 2012 NFL draft.


It is Andre’s sheer grit and underdog mentality that has driven him to go from an underrated high-school recruit to earning a starting position at Clemson and ultimately the NFL. Raised in Richmond, Virginia, Andre takes great pride in the positive influence both his mom and his community had on his development. As a young man, he found a passion for football, excelling on the field by being a continuous learner and student of the game. He has taken that same approach to grow and learn about the fashion industry, his second passion.


A multi-dimensional individual who has an infectious enthusiasm for football, fashion and positively impacting the South Florida culture and community. About to launch his own collection Prestige 50 with Adees Co. Andre has dedicated himself to inspiring others to find their passion points and pursue their life’s purpose. He does this by sharing his personal story and lessons of dreaming big, being a constant learner and building the teams needed to be successful in football, business and life.

Celebrity Chef Josh Capon to host National Tailgate Weekend party on October 7th at Purdue University as they take on conference rival, University of Minnesota

 
Learfield Licensing Partners, a trademark management company specializing in collegiate licensing and branding, announces that National Tailgate Weekend has appointed Josh Capon, the world-renowned, New York City based Executive Chef behind critically acclaimed eateries including Lure Fishbar, B&B Winepub and El Toro Blanco, as official Chef Partner and Brand Ambassador of the holiday.

 
National Tailgate Weekend returns for another year on October 7-8, 2017. The annual holiday, which made its debut in Fall 2016, was created to give college football fans a proper platform to celebrate a favorite pastime: tailgating. In only its second year, more than 600 schools across the country are set to participate in the annual holiday. Leading up to the weekend, Chef Capon will be providing tailgating tips, sharing his favorite recipes and will host the official National Tailgate Weekend party at Purdue University as they take on conference rival, University of Minnesota.  

 
“Tailgating is truly one of my favorite things, there’s nothing better than grilling and hanging out in a parking lot before the big game or even a concert,” says Josh Capon. “Several years ago, my friends and I formed a tailgate themed fundraiser called ‘The Tailgate with a Cause,’ and we’re pleased to share that, moving forward, the charity will become the official charity of National Tailgate Weekend and we thank Learfield for their generous donation.” adds Capon.  

 
Chef Capon will share tips, recipes and demonstrations via National Tailgate Weekend’s website and social media channels. The website will constantly evolve with new content and will provide visitors with links to retailers, products, tailgate tips and more. All social media will be anchored with #nationaltailgate.

For 2017, in addition to confirming more than 600 schools to participate and a celebrity chef, a number of retailers (including Amazon, Follett, Barnes & Noble, Rally House, Scheels, and LIDS, etc.) and several licensees (including Wincraft, LogoBrands, Victory Tailgate, Tervis, Boelter Brands, Top of the World, etc.) will partake in the holiday. This year, the focus has been on creating content and extending the reach of the holiday via curating a group of leading licensees and retailers.

Before the seats are filled, the coin is flipped or the ball is kicked off, the real gameday experience begins when thousands congregate to pay respect to their beloved team through the timeless tradition of tailgating.
