NIGOS Release MV for Narcos

Straight off the heels of winning the BET Award as Best Group, superstar multi-platinum hip-hop trio Migos today release the video for their chart-topping song Narcos. This marks Quavo’s directorial debut, with co-direction by Joseph Desrosiers.
WATCH HERE.
Narcos already has more than 153 million streams and was recently performed by the group on Saturday Night Live. Migos take the music on the road this summer on Aubrey and the Three Migos tour with Drake (full dates below).
The GRAMMY-nominated trio of Quavo, Offset and Takeoff released their second consecutive album to land at #1 on Billboard’s Top 200 Chart, CULTURE II (Quality Control Music Motown Records / Capitol), in January of 2018. Sunday at the 2018 BET Awards Migos were recognized as the Best Group, the award given to the overall best R&B, hip hop or gospel group who has release an album in the previous or same year. Migos has hit another milestone this year being honored with the ASCAP Vanguard Award from the 31stAnnual ASACAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards.
Recently Migos made history by tying The Beatles for the most simultaneous entries on the Billboard Hot 100 song chart among groups (with 14 songs on the chart) according to Nielsen Music. CULTURE II has been streamed over 1 billion times and is RIAA Certified Platinum. Migos is now one of only five rap groups with multiple No. 1 albums. CULTURE II topped the iTunes albums charts in 60 countries and debuted at No. 1 in 62 countries on Apple Music, achieving one of the largest streaming debut weeks in Apple Music’s history.
In a cover story, Rolling Stone said, Migos aren’t big. They’re gigantic. Twenty-six-year-old Offset, his 26-year-old cousin Quavo and Quavo’s 23-year-old nephew Takeoff have transcended hip-hop to become shapers of the culture.
Their blockbuster single MotorSport, featuring Nicki Minaj and Cardi B, earned Double Platinum status in Canada, and RIAA Certified Platinum status in the US. Their second single, Stir Fry, produced by Pharrell Williams, was the official song for NBA’s All-Star weekend. This year alone the group performed on Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, graced the covers of Rolling Stone and Complex and was nominated for Best Rap Album and Best Rap Performance at the 2018 Grammy Awards.

Lil Uzi Vert Visits Hometown to Spend Time with The Youth

Lil Uzi Vert Makes Surprise Visits in His Hometown of Philadelphia and Brooklyn to Spend Time with The Youth

“It is very important to me that I let our youth know that it is okay to be unique and to not let society put you in a box.” – Lil Uzi Vert

On Thursday October 26th, Lil Uzi Vert surprised the students of Thomas Murphy Clubhouse in Brooklyn with some after school fun and tickets to Power 105.1’s Powerhouse concert at the Barclays Center. On Saturday October 28th, Lil Uzi Vert surprised the kids of the Philadelphia Youth Empowerment program, “Role Models” by speaking to the teens about being creative and overly ambitious.

About 300 students at the Thomas Murphy Clubhouse in Brooklyn, NY were in the gymnasium indulging in after school activities when Generation Now/Atlantic recording artist Lil Uzi Vert, came through the gymnasium’s back door to spend quality time with the eager students.

Lil Uzi Vert who was wearing OFF WHITE X NIKE: Air Jordan 1, black skinny jeans and his signature diamond chains walked in to receive his honorary “Flatbush Suns” basketball jersey. Over the past several months Uzi has been visiting the Thomas Murphy Clubhouse to help with everything from homework to coaching basketball games. To show his appreciation to the students, Uzi surprised several students with tickets to Power 105.1’s annual Power House concert at the Barclays Center where he was a performing along with other hip-hop artists such as Migos, Cardi B, and French Montana.

October 28th turned out to be an incredible day for the students of the “Role Models” Youth Empowerment program in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where Uzi Vert made his second community outreach appearance of the week. 75 students greeted the rapper with loud screams and tears as he walked in to the community center dancing to Playboi Carti’s latest hit single, “Wokeuplikethis”. Uzi spent most of the day with the students listening to their dreams, fears, and watching them showcase their creative talents. “It’s so refreshing to see a rapper that the students look up to take the time out of their busy schedule to promote positive thinking and creativity.”, says Role Models Youth Empowerment Founder, Oddessa Blocker.

Lil Uzi Vert is scheduled to do several community outreach events over the next few weeks in the Tri- State Area. One being a turkey drive during the Thanksgiving Holiday in his hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where the rapper will give out 500 turkeys to family in need.

Lil Uzi Vert is honored to have brought inspiration and creativity to the students of Thomas S. Murphy Clubhouse in Brooklyn, NY and would like to give special thanks to Joseph Belony of Thomas S. Murphy Clubhouse, General Now/ Atlantic Records, and Fine Print BLC, a global experiential branding and marketing group.

About Lil’ Uzi Vert:

An energetic and volatile live artist, Lil Uzi Vert has spent much of 2017 knocking out fans at top festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Rolling Loud. Uzi’s electrifying stage presence and distinctive style prompted the fashion and entertainment industry to commend his “self-confidence and non-conformity”. He is stepping away from the traditional idea of what a rapper is supposed to dress and act like, perhaps more than we’ve ever seen before.

Lil Uzi Vert has also reaped an array of honors in recent months, from taking home the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards’ coveted “Song of the Summer” honors for “XO Tour Llif3” and scoring a “Top New Artist” nomination at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards to gracing the cover of The FADER’s best-selling “Sex Issue.” What’s more, Uzi earned a range of additional awards and nominations for Migos’ #1 smash single, “Bad and Boujee (Feat. Lil Uzi Vert),” including the BET Awards’ “Best Collaboration” trophy and nods for “Top Rap Song” and “Top Rap Collaboration” at the Billboard Music Awards. The 4x platinum certified single’s companion video was a 2017 MTV Video Music Awards “Best Hip Hop Video” nominee with over 44 million views at YouTube alone.

Having left an indelible, chart-topping mark on hip-hop and pop in 2017, this gifted artist is certain to take things even further in the future. Unpredictable, experimental, and utterly original, Lil Uzi Vert is indeed unstoppable.
