Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey Announces Snowflake Batch #25. America’s Best-Selling Single Malt Released Its 25th Batch at Its Denver Distillery for the First Time in Three Years
Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey is thrilled to announce the release of this year’s coveted Snowflake iteration – Batch 25: Humboldt Peak. Loyal Strana-fans and passionate whiskey lovers from all over the country united and camped onsite in hopes of retrieving a bottle of this ultra-rare whiskey, available for one day only at the brand’s Colorado distillery.
Per tradition, each Snowflake iteration is an American Single Malt aged between five and ten years in new white American oak barrels with a #3 char, before transferring to a variety of wine, sherry, and rum barrels sourced from around the world. Each year’s batch spends a varying amount of time in different barrels, resulting flavor year-after-year.
This year’s Humboldt Peak is named per Stranahan’s tradition for a “14er” or Colorado Mountain peaking over 14,000 feet. The initial whiskey was finished in casks that once held Cabernet Sauvignon, Oloroso Sherry, and Barbados Rum. The resulting whiskey is a burst of fruity and sweet sensations, with notes of seasonal pear and apple richness mixed with cream soda.
Humboldt Peak is exclusively available in-person for one day only on a first-come, first-serve basis. Stranahan’s most devoted fans and whiskey connoisseurs were welcome to attend the Snowflake Village, starting 12:00 PM MT on Friday, December 2 through Saturday, December 3 to enjoy live performance from Jess Graber & the Highway 82 Band, food trucks, and pairing stations. As of today at 11:00 AM MT, Snowflake Humboldt Peak is now available for purchase for $119.99 with a valid I.D.
