Electro artist SG Lewis had quite the weekend at Coachella.
As of late, 360 Magazine interviewed the 24-year-old British producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He spoke to us about performing Weekend 1 and was ecstatic that the Mojave tent was at capacity during his performance.
In 2016, Lewis performed at Coachella and was excited to see the upgraded platforms. “The Yuma tent has really quadrupled in size,” he states. “I played a DJ set at the Yuma Tent in 2016, and now it’s like a full-blown Berlin club in there.”
SG Lewis just released his second song with Clairo, “Throwaway,” which now boasts 5 million+ streams on Spotify. “She is one of my favorite people to work with and a genuine friend of mine,” Lewis recites. “The second song wasn’t premeditated. We were just in the studio and ‘Throwaway’ happened naturally and it fit perfectly into Dawn.”
The following single collaboration is set to feature RUEL. “RUEL is a 17-year-old Australian guy who is hugely talented,” SG says. “He has a really soulful voice,” he added.
For the first time, Lewis played the new track “Flame” for Weekend 2 concertgoers.
