Samuel Edwards Shuts It Down at the Virgin Sport Oxford Half Marathon

Virgin Sport recently held a Battle of the Bands competition ahead of the Oxford Half Marathon, which took place this Sunday. The winner, Samuel Edwards gave the performance of his life at one of the fan hubs along the route, serenading the runners whilst they completed their half marathon.
This year’s winner Samuel Edwards, fended off all competition to give himself a chance to win a spot at one of our Fan Hubs on the Half Marathon route to perform a medley of his own music. With social media support and over 8,000 on the day, Samuel truly put down his mark at the Oxford Half Marathon. 
Winner, Samuel Edwards said, “I found out about the competition on one of the Oxford music pages on Facebook. I’ve been on the Oxford music scene for a while, performing at most of the well known venues across the city, so I wanted to add another string to my bow. I’ve been writing music and performing in bands for about 7 years now and saw this as an opportunity to bring my music to a whole new audience!”
