Reebok has revealed a three-colorway BB 4000 II “Changing of the Guard” ($90) pack, utilizing its newest heritage court shoe to celebrate the brand’s unique basketball heritage alongside icons Shaquille O’Neal and Allen Iverson.
“Changing of the Guard” delivers BB 4000 II in three honorary colorways:
- White/Black/Blue (IG9953): Celebrating Reebok’s iconic “Shaq Attaq” basketball sneaker issued for Shaquille O’Neal and his rookie debut with Orlando in 1992.
- Grey/Navy/White (IG9952): Remembering Allen Iverson’s alma matter, where it all began.
- Red/Blue/White (IG9951): Paying homage to “A.I.”’s legendary pro career in Philly via their indistinguishable team colors.

This past fall, Reebok revived its BB 4000 II, a transcendent lifestyle basketball sneaker introduced in the late ‘80s as part of the brand’s disruptive “BB” footwear range, which – through its irreverent product designs and campaigns – would inject new energy into basketball culture, helping to bridge the gap between hardwood and concrete in that era. Fitting for any modern wardrobe or lifestyle, the renewed BB 4000 II brings subtle value adds and an elevated construction to the highly-wearable silhouette at an accessible price point. Key design elements include premium leather overlays across the upper, Reebok side-stripe and cross-check branding, a unique split Union Jack tongue logo nodding 80’s brand heritage, an EVA rubber midsole, and a durable outsole featuring classic basketball tooling.
Reebok’s BB 4000 II “Changing of the Guard” collection is available from Reebok.com and Journeys beginning December 22, with pairs landing at Snipes, among other select retailers in January.
