RAYE + GRAMMY NOMINATIONS

British sensation RAYE has earned three nominations at the 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards, announced today by the Recording Academy. The “Escapism.” hitmaker is up for the prestigious Best New Artist award, where she’ll compete against rising stars like Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, and Shaboozey. In addition, RAYE has earned a nomination for Songwriter of the Year, Non-Classical, recognizing her work with top artists, including Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Halle, and Lucky Daye. With these two nods, RAYE makes history as the first artist to be nominated in both categories, further solidifying her reputation as one of the industry’s most exciting talents. She also earns a nod for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical for her contributions to Lucky Daye’s Algorithm.

This milestone caps an extraordinary year for RAYE, who earlier in 2024 dominated Britain’s biggest night in music, taking home an unprecedented six BRIT Awards in a single evening for her critically acclaimed debut album My 21st Century Blues. Among her historic triumphs, the independent artist also became the first female to be awarded the Songwriter of the Year honor, further cementing her place as a trailblazer in the music industry.

After two years of headlining sold-out shows across the globe—including stadium tours with SZA, Kali Uchis, and Lewis Capaldi—RAYE captivated audiences at major stages this summer, performing at iconic festivals such as Glastonbury, Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Montreux Jazz Festival. She also performed for Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium. In addition, RAYE delivered standout TV performances on Saturday Night Live, The Kelly Clarkson Show, The Daily Show, and the American Music Awards: 50th Anniversary Special.

The momentum continued throughout 2024, with RAYE contributing to Beyoncé’s groundbreaking COWBOY CARTER album (“RIIVERDANCE”), earning a spot on TIME Magazine’s prestigious “Next Generation Leaders” list, and securing nominations at the 2024 BET Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, and MTV EMAs. Next month (December 7, 2024), she will be honored with the Triple Threat Award at Variety’s eighth annual Hitmakers celebration, joining fellow honorees Charli xcx, Jelly Roll, and Quavo, in recognition of her outspoken advocacy for the songwriting community.

The 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards will take place on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, airing live on CBS Television Network and streaming on Paramount+.
