One of the most innovative forces in the rap game today, Pi’erre Bourne takes his artistry to whole new heights on his long-awaited new project The Life of Pi’erre 4, out now on SossHouse/ Interscope Records. With every song written, produced, engineered, and arranged all on his own, the album again shows the uncompromising originality he’s revealed in producing Billboard Hot 100 hits like Playboi Carti’s double-platinum smash “Magnolia,” and Travis Scott’s “Watch” ft. Lil Uzi Vert and Kanye West. Praised by Complex for “redefining trap music,” the 25-year-old artist/producer now brings his creative integrity to a lo-fi yet high-energy sound that’s emotionally powerful and entirely unpredictable.

Born in Kansas under the name Jordan Jenks, Pi’erre lived between the Carolinas and Belize during his childhood. He also spent a great deal of time in Queens, New York, where an uncle taught him to use FruityLoops and encouraged him to start making his own music while Pi’erre was still in elementary school. Pi’erre later studied music engineering at the SAE Institute in Atlanta, and soon earned significant cash by recording for local artists. After making his name as a producer, he landed an engineering job at Epic Records, where he quickly found himself in high demand among fast-rising artists like Young Nudy.
During his time at Epic, Pi’erre dedicated his off-hours to working on his own projects, dropping the first installment of his Life of Pi’erre series in September 2016. With both The Life of Pi’erre 2 and The Life of Pi’erre 3 arriving in the next few months, he left Epic at the end of that year in order to devote more time to his own music. As he continued producing for artists like Jay Critch, Big Sean, and Playboi Carti, Pi’erre moved forward with the making of The Life of Pi’erre 4, and in late 2017 scored an artist deal with Interscope Records.
Since signing with Interscope, Pi’erre has toured with the likes of Drake, Nudy, and Carti, in addition to launching SossHouse (his own Interscope imprint,) and generating buzz with recent singles like “Hacked My Instagram” and “Marie Curie.” In the midst of bringing The Life of Pi’erre 4 to life, he also teamed up with Nudy for the critically acclaimed album Sli’merre—a May 2019 release named one of the year’s best rapper/producer collaborations by Pitchfork, who hailed Pi’erre as “one of the most interesting contemporary rap producers.”
