The popular musical group Peach Pit has announced rescheduled tour dates for their North American Headline tour. They are also set to release the deluxe version of their sophomore album You and Your Friends on October 2nd.
Peach Pit hosted a Live Nation virtual concert where they announced the new dates for their headline tour which will now take place in 2021. Originally scheduled for spring 2020, the tour had to be pushed back a year due to the ongoing pandemic. Fortunately, most of the shows have a new date so fans can still watch the group perform when it is safe.
The band’s tour will now begin on Monday, March 1, 2021, with the first performance to take place in Victoria, BC. This tour will be hitting larger venues, such as NY’s Brooklyn Steel and LA’s Fonda Theatre which currently has two nights scheduled. A few new shows have been added for fans in Ottawa, ON, Buffalo, NY, Richmond, VA, Asheville, NC, Columbus, OH, Austin, Houston and Dallas, TX. Unfortunately, the shows at Off Broadway Nightclub in St. Louis, MO and The Bowery Ballroom in New York, NY have been canceled, but refunds are being offered for these shows by point of purchase.
Luckily for fans, tickets that were purchased for shows are now able to be used for the rescheduled dates. The new tour dates and ways to purchase tickets can be found on Peach Pit’s website.
“We’re so excited to announce the rescheduled and new tour dates for 2021,” expressed band member Neil Smith while announcing the tour. “Assuming that guidance from our public health officials tells us it’s safe to be on the road, we can’t wait to get out and make up for lost time and play the songs from You and Your Friends live.”
The deluxe version of Peach Pit’s album You and Your Friends is set to be released on October 2 via Columbia Records. The deluxe version of the album will feature three songs not found on the original. These tracks include “Adidas,” “Denny’s Garage,” and “Psychics in LA,” and have been highly awaited by fans. The band has been performing “Physics in LA” at live shows for the past year so this song especially listeners have been on the lookout for.
