After amassing over 1.5 million cumulative streams in under a month and attracting universal acclaim, OTR shares the music video for his buzzing new single, “Heart” ft. Shallou, today.
The elegant visual follows two lonely souls as they enter an ornate antique home where luminous reflections and
glistening daylight give form to the song’s resounding piano chords and shimmering production. The protagonists gravitate towards one another—only for the touch to disappear like an apparition. Shallou’s entrancing chant, “In your heart,” sums
up the ghostly romance at the center of the gorgeous clip.
Beyond its runaway streaming success thus far, “Heart” ascended to #8 on the Sirius XM Chill Chart where it steadily
rises. Additionally, T.H.E. Music Essentials featured him in an in-depth interview. Meanwhile, acclaim pours in with Earmilk recently putting it best, “Two masters of dreamy production have come together, and hearts around the world may never. be the same.” Right now, OTR continues readying more music for release very soon. when he began tinkering on a dusty, run-down piano in his college dorm lobby to break up the routine of classes and studying. Shortly thereafter, he picked up a guitar and began experimenting with Logic on his MacBook Pro. Taking an internship in Japan in 2014, he found himself living in the small town of in Kurashiki, with no friends and a major language barrier. To combat the isolation, he purchased a keyboard and a train pass and spent all his free time making music and traveling to bigger cities. When he returned to the States, Ryan moved into a neighborhood on the outskirts of downtown Cincinnati known as “Over-the-Rhine” or OTR. The once-neglected area had undergone a renaissance that mirrored his own
journey of discovery as music went from hobby to career goal, so it became the ideal name for his project.
As an independent artist, OTR has released a series of singles and the 2018 EP Unfold, racking up more than 7
