Oakland Raiders tight end Jared Cook and UnitedHealthcare will unveil new physical education equipment and other beautification projects at International Community School in Oakland. Cook will join UnitedHealthcare leaders at a school assembly and lead students through relay races.
A $10,000 grant from UnitedHealthcare to Cook’s Dreambuilders program is funding the physical education equipment, which includes basketballs, tetherballs, hula hoops and basketball rims. The donation also will provide three picnic tables and repainting the school’s playground.
Cook’s Dreambuilders program also is partnering with nonprofit Playworks this year to help thousands of kids in the East Bay have access to safe and healthy play during school recess.
