NF released a brand new song Monday titled “Chasing_(Demo).” You can hear it by clicking right here.
The song features Mikayla Sippel, a 15-year-old Australian fan of NF’s. NF said he posted a clip of the song and was surprised by the positive response, which included a cover by a fan.
“Long story short, my producer Tommee and I took her audio and ended up finishing it for you guys! Thank you Mikayla Sippel for letting us use your amazing voice and inspiring me to actually release it,” NF said.
Using piano, violins and classic NF lyrics, the song describes his search for answers to questions about his emotions. He seeks a place where his thoughts are embraced, both by himself and others, and the pain he feels can subside through internal and external acceptance.
“I just wanna run away and find somewhere that feels safe; find somewhere the bad days don’t come as often in this sad phase,” he and Sippel sing.

The comment section is full of fans who asked NF to officially release the song, so to release it and feature a fan shows the artistic and emotional connection he has to his fans.
Hailing from Michigan, NF most recently released the 2019 album “The Search,” which featured songs like “Time,” “Like This” and “When I Grow Up.”
This is his first release of 2020.
