Lil Mosey has been quietly plotting a takeover since his official entry into the rap game just two years ago. The Seattle rapper’s breakout hit, “Pull Up,” was the internet sensation that put him on the map, racking up millions of views and eventually landing the precocious teen at Interscope Records. His debut album, Certified Hitmaker, is out today, Friday, November 8.
The 14-track album also features collaborations with Trippie Red, AJ Tracey and R&B superstar Chris Brown on “G Walk.” Mosey leaked a sizzling new song this week, “Live This Wild,” and on Wednesday, the prolific 17-year-old launched a Fan Only experience in honor of the album’s release with a free concert at The Echo in Los Angeles. He will follow up with two more free shows on Monday, November 11 at SOBs in New York and Sunday, November 24 at Neumos in his hometown of Seattle.
The lead single, “Stuck In A Dream” featuring Gunna, is currently in rotation on Spotify’s “Today’s Top Hits,” the streaming platform’s largest global playlist with nearly 25 million followers. The song also cracked the Global Top 50 at #46, while the accompanying music video has reaped over 14 million views in just one month. Stateside, the track is at #16 with Lil Mosey’s growing catalog has collectively been streamed a whopping 1.9 billion times globally.
After dropping a string of successful one-off singles, touring across the US, and appearing on the cover of XXL’s prestigious Freshman Class issue, Lil Mosey dropped Northsbest to critical acclaim. Propelled by fan favorites, “Boof Pack” and the platinum hit single “Noticed,” the project was recently certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Earlier this year, Lil Mosey became the youngest artist to successfully launch a music festival, Northsbest Fest, in Seattle. The album Certified Hitmaker is available worldwide on all digital platforms via Mogul Vision/Interscope Records.
