“The vocal range of the guy is enough to impress anybody, and, as we see/hear here, all Lewis needs to have you in the palm of his hand is a simple piano playing throughout.” -HillyDilly
“Glasgow singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi has one of the most remarkable, tender voices I’ve heard in a long time.” – The Independent
“(Lewis Capaldi) seems able to find the beauty in the everyday, to translate deeply personal experiences into something universal.”- Clash
Scottish artist, Lewis Capaldi, releases his debut EP Bloom with Capitol Records today. The EP features his new single “Fade”, which he co-wrote with Grammy award winner Malay, who also produced the track. Within the first week of the song’s release, it was streamed over one million times. Capaldi is no stranger to hit singles; his previous track “Lost On You” was featured in Spotify’s New Music Friday in over 20 countries and his debut single “Bruises” held the No. 1 spot on the same playlist and has accumulated over
28 million streams globally. “Bruises” is an emotional ballad about a failed relationship that showcases Capaldi’s nimble vocal ability as he effortlessly slips between smooth baritone, gravelly mid-tone, and haunting falsetto. Capaldi headlined two sold-out shows at Glasgow’s famed King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut and embarked on his first UK headling tour, which sold out in minutes, before any of his music was officially released. He will tour Europe this fall with Rag’n’Bone Man, followed by his second UK sold out headlining tour in December. Capaldi will also tour the U.S. and Canada with Milky Chance in January.
