LEWIS CAPALDI PREMIERES “FADE (LIVE)” VIDEO TODAY

DEBUT EP BLOOM OUT NOW ON CAPITOL RECORDS

Capaldi To Join Milky Chance On January 2018 North American Tour

Scottish artist Lewis Capaldi premieres the video for “Fade (Live)” today- watch it HERE.  The video was directed by Alexandra Gavillet and the track is from Capaldi’s debut EP Bloom out now on Capitol Records and available for download and streaming HERE.   Capaldi co-wrote “Fade” with GRAMMY award winner Malay (Frank Ocean, Sam Smith, Zayn Malik), who also produced it.

“Fade is probably the proudest I’ve ever been about a song I’ve written, it came together so naturally over the course of two days in New York and the fact that I got to write it and have it produced by Malay who’s someone I’ve been a big fan of for a long time was such an honour,” says Capaldi. We filmed the live video for the track in a studio in London a month or so ago and I’m still so pleased with how it turned out, visuals were never really something I considered when I started making music but over the last year it’s something I’ve been becoming so much more interested in! The video was directed by Alexandra Gavillet who’s fucking amazing, I’m still not really comfortable being in front of a camera but she was great in helping me feel a bit more at ease with everything. I honestly think it looks class, she smashed it!”

“Fade” racked up over one million streams in the first week alone and is now approaching four million streams.  Capaldi’s previous track “Lost On You,” was included in Spotify’s New Music Friday in over 20 countries, while his debut “Bruises,” held the No. 1 spot on the playlist and has amassed over 35 million total streams globally.  A stripped-down ballad that looks back on a failed relationship, “Bruises” showcases Capaldi’s nimble vocal ability, as he effortlessly slips between smooth baritone, gravelly mid-tone, and haunting falsetto with pinpoint accuracy.

Hailing from the small town of Bathgate, outside of Glasgow, Capaldi sold out two headlining shows at Glasgow’s famed King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut and embarked on his first UK headling tour, which sold out in minutes, before any of his music was officially released. He will tour Europe this fall with Rag’n’Bone Man, followed by his second UK sold out headlining tour in December.  Capaldi will also tour the U.S. and Canada with Milky Chance in January. See below for all tour dates.

The track-listing for the Bloom EP is as follows:

1 Fade

2 Bruises

3 Mercy

4 Lost On You
