Today From Nothing Records and Polo Grounds Music, in partnership with RCA Records, announces the posthumous release of Brooklyn rapper KJ Balla’s debut album, Resurrection. To coincide with the announcement, the first single “Racin” ft. Lil Tjay and its accompanying visual are available everywhere now. Click HERE to watch.
The visual for “Racin” ft. Lil Tjay was shot in Brooklyn in June at KJ’s celebration of life with the gathering of family and friends following his tragic death earlier this year.
After co-founding the label From Nothing Records he was off to a promising start with a career in hip-hop alongside label mate Jay Gwuapo and collaborators like multi-platinum selling rapper, Calboy.
Most recently, KJ was featured on two tracks released by Jay Gwuapo, “Back to Back” and “R8.” Both tracks combined have been streamed over 2.5 million times.
On the release, Jay Gwuapo shares “I’m happy for my boy KJ and his fans that they finally get to hear ‘Racin.’ You can feel his vibe in that song and we kept his same energy in the video. We turned a sad day into a celebration, the FN way. The fans can expect way more music dropping soon and tune in August 21, me and KJ have some heat on his album.”
The release of his debut album will let fans hear what he had been working on to share with them and allow his vision for himself and the future of From Nothing Records to be shared to the masses.
