KAILEE MORGUE TO RELEASE NEW EP HERE IN YOUR BEDROOM ON APRIL 24TH
DROPS VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE “KNEW YOU”
Bedroom-pop sorceress Kailee Morgue announces her upcoming EP, Here In Your Bedroom, is set for release on April 24th. She also releases the video for her latest single off of the EP, “Knew You,” out now.
The video, which Morgue wrote the treatment for, was directed by Ricky Anthony. Ones To Watch hails “Knew You” as “an exhilarating new sound” for Morgue, while This Song Is Sick says, “Kailee Morgue is proving herself as a force to be reckoned with in the indie-pop world.”
Of the inspiration behind the video, Morgue says, “The idea for this video was to have me sort of contrasting the spaces I was in, with the way I was dressed and how messy my hair was against the soft, light backgrounds. It was also supposed to hint at a sort of intimacy and waiting for someone else to arrive in that bedroom or the diner.”
Stay tuned for more from Kailee Morgue!
ABOUT KAILEE MORGUE
After quietly establishing herself as an iconoclastic force with 60 million streams and widespread acclaim by everyone from The New York Times to Highsnobiety, the Phoenix-based siren unearths a torrent of intense emotions in 2020. A three-year journey from a part-time job slinging fast food to emerging as a subversive pop wunderkind allowed the 21-year-old to do so. Along the way, she unveiled a series of fan-favorite anthems, beginning with the breakthrough “Medusa,” “Do You Feel This Way,” “Siren,” and “What The Hell Happened To Us” from Quinn XCII’s The Story of Us. Not to mention, she attracted tastemaker praise from The FADER, NYLON, Pigeons & Planes, PAPER, Vice’s i-D and Teen Vogue. Between packing houses coast-to-coast on tour, she joined forces with Hayley Kiyoko on the 2019 single “Headcase.” In addition to tallying 2.6 million Spotify streams, Ones To Watch pegged it as “an Early Contender for 2019’s Best Pop Moment,” and Billboard dubbed it, “a dreamy trip through the 20-year-old’s mind.” Along the way, she sharpened the edge of her signature sound with a powerful progression hinted at by “Knew You” and more to come.
