The R-rated sitcom is filmed in front of a live audience and based on Patricia “Ms. Pat” Williams’ stand-up comedy and memoir. Created & executive produced by Jordan E. Cooper and Ms. Pat, this grown folks comedy follows a former convicted felon turned suburban mom as she tries her best to navigate family, her comedy career, and a new all-white neighborhood.
Recently chosen to be one of OUT Magazine’s “Entertainer of the Year,” Cooper starred in a sold out run of his play Ain’t No Mo’ which was a New York Times Critics’ Pick. Last year, Cooper created a pandemic centered short film Mama Got A Cough, which was featured in National Geographic and named ‘Best Of 2020’ by The New York Times. He was also featured on the final season of FX’s critically acclaimed, award-winning television series POSE as “MC Tyrone.” Cooper also founded his own production company Cookout Entertainment- a platform for television and film work that centers community, conversation, celebration, and liberation.
