Rare Japanese Woodblock prints, most of which have not seen the market in 30 years, will “hit the block” at Heritage Auctions this Thursday, June 27.
The showcase features nearly 250 remarkable works by such masters of the form as Katsushika Hokusai, Takahashi Hiroaki, Yoshida Hiroshi and more, and all proceeds from their sale will go to charities, ranging from the American Red Cross to Paws for Purple Hearts, close to the hearts of the prints’ owners.
Katsushika Hokusai’s Eight Views of Ryukyu is set to open with a bid of nearly $75K.
