INTRODUCING COMMAND SISTERS

Introducing the band that will eventually need no introduction: Command Sisters. Comprised of Charlotte [vocals, keys] and Sarah Command [guitar] (yes Command is their real last name!), the Alberta-born and Toronto-based sibling duo unleash their debut single “I Can Do What I Want To” today via 21 Entertainment/Universal Music Canada/Republic Records.

On the song and video, the Command Sisters said, “This song sounds like a breakup song, but really it’s a love song to yourself and a ‘middle finger’ to anybody who tells you who to be, what you should believe in or who you should become.”

I Can Do What I Want To” was produced by notable producer Tim Pagnotta (Walk The Moon, Weezer, Blink 182, Neon Trees, Elle King). The official video was personally shot, styled, and directed in the band’s apartment during quarantine and filmed D.I.Y. on an iPhone. The video embodies the world that is Command Sisters: one sister (Charlotte) sings and writes with master level songcraft and the other sister (Sarah) shreds with fret-burning agility. They rule a world of their own designed in red, black, and white.

Recently, the band joined forces with some of Canada’s biggest artists to form the star-studded supergroup ArtistsCAN and performed a cover of Bill Withers’ “Lean On Me” to raise over $8 million dollars for the Canadian Red Cross and its COVID-19 relief efforts. The performance featured Justin Bieber, Avril Lavigne, Bryan Adams, Michael Bublé, and more. Check out the video here!
