The 5th GRM Daily Rated Awards were held Wednesday to celebrate the best in black British music.
The show was hosted by Mo Gilligan and Julie Adenuga and featured performances from Kano, George The Poet, Abra Cadabra, M Huncho, Br3yna and Dizzee Rascal, who received The Legacy Award.
Some of the big winners of the night included J Hus, who won the Album of the Year Award for his album “Big Conspiracy” and Tion Wayne, Dutchavelli and Stormzy who won Best Track for “I Dunno.”
Stefflon Don won Female Artist of the Year while Aitch and AJ Tracey took home the award for Video of the Year for their song “Rain” featuring Tay Keith.
D-Block Europe snagged two awards including Male Artist of the Year and Mixtape of the Year.
Kano performed his hit song “Teardrops” in a powerful and emotional tribute to lives lost to police brutality in the UK.
George the Poet performed his song “It Was Written,” a tribute to rap in the UK, and the show closed with a 16-minute-long set from Dizzee Rascal.
To round out the complete list of award winners, Dutachavelli took home Breakthrough of the Year, Chunkz was awarded Personality of the Year, Kenny Allstar won Radio DJ of the Year and JAE5 won Producer of the Year.
