Glamour’s “Queenpins” With Keke Palmer

GLAMOUR’S “QUEENPINS” WITH KEKE PALMER NOW LIVE ON FACEBOOK WATCH

The eight-part series shares the unbelievable stories behind the world’s most notorious female crime bosses.

Glamour launched today its first original Facebook Watch show, “Queenpins,” which tells the stories of the most notorious female crime bosses, who upended the traditional male-driven criminal hierarchy in their relentless pursuit of power. The eight episode series is hosted by actor/producer and musician Keke Palmer and chronicles the criminals’ rise to infamy by incorporating police reports, news clippings, photos and other assets to build on each crime boss’ narrative.

The episodes will focus on each woman’s unique crime story, the pivotal career moments that influenced their path, the sordid details behind each felony, and how being a woman impacted their experience. The episodes will publish weekly on Fridays.

This week’s episode introduces Stephanie Saint-Clair or “Queenie” and the illegal underground gambling rings she ran in Harlem from the 1920s. Successful women runners were called “madames,” but St. Clair’s undeniable wit and skill earned her the title of “Madame Queen.” The episode unpacks her numerous successful criminal enterprises and courageous nature that enabled her to successfully infiltrate a man’s world.

Following the success of Glamour’s wildly popular “Broken Harts” podcast, the brand is introducing this true-crime explainer series as its first foray into crime video programming. Directed by Jamie Peterson, the show is produced by Condé Nast Entertainment. The executive producers are Keke Palmer, Sarah Napier, Jamie Peterson, Jerry Kolber and Adam Davis.
