About 1800 Tequila
1800 Tequila is a brand of tequila that was founded in 1975 and owned by the same family that produced Jose Cuervo tequila. The name comes from the year that tequila was allegedly first successfully aged in wood, after its ban was removed by King Carlos IV. It has won awards from the San Francisco Wine and Spirits Competition. Bloomberg Businessweek, Wine Enthusiast, and The New York Times have all supported the brand.
