Houston Music Artist DOM Releases New Single Featuring Erica Banks
Singer, producer, and rapper, DOM is the alter ego of Houston, Texas based music artist Dominique Side. She has become known for her fierce voice and unstoppable energy. Co-owner of VgnBae Music Group, last month, DOM returned to the stage and performed her newly released single with Erica Banks to a packed house of faithful fans at VgnBae Studios in Houston.
Born originally in Biloxi, Mississippi, Dominique had been a part of several R&B outfits until forming VgnBae Music Group in 2019. After producing and singing on different recordings at their studios, in 2021 she stepped into the spotlight, creating music as the force named DOM. Her first EP “IRL” was nothing short of a sonic blast filled with revenge fueled breakup bangers.
“IRL” was a full concept album following the journey of a woman pushed to the edge by a cheating partner. Called “deliciously deranged” and a “dark and sexy rollercoaster ride” by critics, it was streamed hundreds of thousands of times and followed by a complete visual series of music videos. Songs from “IRL” also made their way on the radio, soundtracks, and at fashion retail stores.
Dominique has stayed busy in the 2 years since her last release came out creating her own luxury vegan clothing line, “Nikki Green”. and working on numerous projects with artists at VgnBae Music Group. In June 2023, DOM delivered a new, super twerk-able single featuring Erica Banks entitled “SDA”. It’s the ass-shaking anthem you need this summer and the music video is gloriously booty-licious, showing DOM will have her cake and eat it too.
This most recent track leaves no doubt her boss attitude is still in top form. Abbreviated from “Shake Dat Ass”, DOM’s latest single gives fans a mouthwatering taste of her contagious songwriting and versatility in hip-hop and rap. It’s an indulgent audio feast that continues her uncompromising views on female empowerment of sexuality and success.
A brand new EP is in the works and slated to drop later this year to accompany “SDA”. DOM is definitely making good on the promise that when it comes to her music, “one thing people can expect from me as an artist is authenticity.” It would appear fans can continue looking forward to DOM releasing songs featuring her many sides and dripping with bad b*tch energy.
