New Zealand, June 2017: Ahead of the upcoming matches with the All Blacks, rugby stars James Haskell, Jonathan Joseph, Rory Best, Tommy Seymour and Rhys Webb enjoyed some down time by putting the All New Discovery to the test in New Zealand.
Accustomed to hard-hitting rugby tackles, the Lions players took to the off-road driving tracks just outside Rotorua, to this time tackle the tough country terrain. The drives allowed the players to deepen their understanding of New Zealand and its surroundings, as doing so could offer the clues to overcoming the rugby team at the heart of the island nation and its people.
For this challenge, the Land Rover All New Discovery was the obvious choice. The vehicle has been providing logistical support for the team on its tour of New Zealand, and is certainly just as capable during off-road adventures.
All the players took to the driving with the same skill and composure they show in the famous Red Lions jersey.
Land Rover has a heritage in supporting rugby at all levels; from grassroots to elite, and shares some of the sport’s key values of resilience, integrity, and passion. The British & Irish Lions tour to New Zealand is Land Rover’s seventh time supporting the team
