About Daymaker. Daymaker is an online giving platform that was founded on the belief that kids who give become adults who give. The technology is designed to make philanthropic giving easy, real and relatable so little kids can understand the big difference they can make. Daymaker launched in Los Angeles in 2015 and has since expanded to working with nonprofit partners in other major cities such as Atlanta, Charlotte, New York, San Francisco, Chicago and Houston. November 21, 2017, New York, NY Daymaker.com, an online giving platform whose mission is to help parents share the good of giving with their children, announces the launch of its 2017 holiday initiative. Daymaker’s goal this holiday season is to help tens of thousands of children across the United States, including those affected by the most recent U.S. natural disasters. Daymaker’s holiday initiative is a completely online “click-to-give” experience that allows donors from around the world to preview profiles of children in need and purchase gifts in time for the holidays. Daymaker concluded its 2016 holiday season with over 2,500 donors from all 50 states and nine countries purchasing gifts for 5,000 children around the United States.
How It Works. Daymaker works closely with local chapters of high-impact nonprofit organizations such as New York City Housing Authority, Boys and Girls Club and Salvation Army that understand the unique needs of children in their communities. During the holiday season, donors can visit Daymaker’s site and read about the tens of thousands of children who are being served by Daymaker’s nonprofit partners. With just a few clicks, donors can choose who they would like to help and purchase items from personalized wish lists. Items are trackable every step of the way until they are delivered to each child in time for the holidays.
Corporate Partners. This year, Daymaker will broaden its ability to help children in need by also making the platform available for corporate giving programs. Daymaker has already formed partnerships with over 35 companies in Technology, Banking, Consulting and Telecom, among other sectors. Companies such as Ally, GoDaddy, WeWork, Boxed, NTT DATA Services, and Crown Castle have all signed on to use Daymaker as one of their 2017 holiday giving platforms.Daymaker co-founder and CEO Thomas Doochin says, “Our corporate partners are the backbone to our gift-giving philanthropic expansion, and we are honored to have such reputable companies on board.”
