“Kill Me To Keep Loving You” was recorded with Brett Hellings on lead vocals, Fortus on lead guitar, Henriksen on guitars and backing vocals; Johnson on keyboards, organ and backing vocals; Sheehan on bass and backing vocals; and Aronoff on drums and percussion.

The track was mixed by Tim Palmer, who has worked his sonic magic for Pearl Jam, U2, Robert Plant and David Bowie, among others; and mastered by Grammy award winning Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, Prince, Jeff Buckley, Muse).

An endorsement from Alice Cooper on his radio show, Nights with Alice Cooper,” ultimately led Brett Hellings, a well-traveled singer-songwriter to record with a powerhouse ensemble of the industry’s top session and touring musicians.  It was just a 45 second mention on a syndicated radio show, but for veteran indie rocker Hellings, who has toughed it out over the years and made his mark in NYC, L.A., Nashville and Philly, it felt like a life-changing anointing from a revered rock god.

David Davidian, tour manager for Cooper and The Hollywood Vampires, heard the show, and loved the music so much that he passed it on to some of his musician friends. Free from other commitments due to the pandemic, the new band members embraced the opportunity to work with a dynamic, still emerging frontman.

Though Brett is a prolific songwriter who has been recording his own material since his debut solo 2005 album, Restless, he was happy to make an exception when he heard the original demo for “Kill Me To Keep Loving You” – a tune written by Buck Johnson and Erik Halbig in Nashville as a potential cut for Steven Tyler’s 2016 country-flavored solo debut, We’re All Somebody From Somewhere. “Buck had given me several songs he’d written in the past, and during pre-production, he gave me the song in its raw form,” says Hellings. “The demo was intended to have a very poppy-country vibe, but I could hear its potential as a rock ballad.”

He continues, “I was just getting out of a long, toxic relationship, so the lyrics of the song about someone you love being the worst thing for you hit me hard. It’s got a bigness and is very relatable, whether it connects to a personal experience like I had or anything else in your life that’s killing you — to keep loving it.”

Other songs that Hellings will release in the future – including singles and a potential full album down the road – were written by Hellings, Johnson, Henriksen and Fortus.

Says Henriksen about Brett, “This kid’s a rockstar man, and rockstars are few and far. He’s got something and I can’t wait for people to hear it and I can’t wait for him to get on stage and sing these songs.”

Arnoff continues, “When I first met Brett, he came to my studio and I immediately liked him because he looks you right in the eye, he connects with you, he’s very transparent, he’s right there and he has an incredible loving heart. I just knew it was going to be amazing.”

Adds Johnson, “Surpassed all of my expectations.”

Says Brett, “The coolest thing about working on the Hellings project with these consummate musicians was realizing just how easy and comfortable it can be, and how much I could learn, working in the studio with truly creative people who pour everything they’ve got into making a song perfect.”  He continues, “Everyone was all about getting the best of what we could bring to the art form. So many of my previous band experiences were full of drama and obstacles, but this was all about the music and camaraderie. A lot of great friendships and relationships were forged in the studio, and I’m excited to see where the journey takes us from here.”

Today, these have been replaced by soaring rates of mental health disorders—especially anxiety. A journey from source to sea, River is a cinematic and musical odyssey that explores the remarkable relationship between humans and rivers. Throughout history, rivers have shaped our landscapes and our journeys; flowed through our cultures and dreams. River takes its audience on a journey through space and time; spanning six continents, and drawing on extraordinary contemporary cinematography, including satellite filming, the film shows rivers on scales and from perspectives never seen before. FAVORITE THINGS TO DO WHILE ON VACATION

It is energizing to explore a new place and all the excitement that comes with discovering new sights, sounds, scents, and tastes, and there are many ways to pass the time. But there’s also the time spent traveling from one place to another. And this is considerably less intriguing.

Given how interconnected the globe has grown and how simple it is to move with a WiFi connection, there are many methods to keep yourself occupied when traveling.

The more traditional activities like reading a book, people-watching, binge-watching Netflix, or spending hours scrolling through social media are fantastic. Still, you can practice your gambling skills with online games.

You want to unwind and enjoy yourself while on vacation. While you’re away from home, you shouldn’t worry about losing money. This does not imply that you should refrain from gambling while on vacation.

Suppose you are already aware of the top online casino games to play and how to calculate your chances of winning. Then you undoubtedly have a preferred casino like 888 casino Arabic as well.

Going to museums

Museums are no longer the stuffy, antiquated hangouts they once were. Or rather, individuals believed they were. Modern museums have embraced pop culture and the newest technology to create entertaining and family-friendly exhibitions. While many museums worldwide charge an entrance fee (particularly for major events like sci-fi conventions), some allow free access all year round. The Air and Space Museum, the American History Museum, and the Natural History Museum, for instance, are all free to visit at the Smithsonian Museums in Washington, D.C.

Have a picnic

You’ll probably find a park close to the location you’re visiting. There are numerous parks to explore in most cities in the world. Why not spend one day of your holiday at the park, if the weather permits? A picnic blanket is something you should ideally bring before leaving on your vacation. Another cost-effective choice is to use the extra blankets and linen that some hotels supply in the closets. Take advantage of the complimentary breakfast or buffet offered by your hotel. If not, look up the closest grocery store for snacks and drinks.

A free walking tour.

Numerous towns and cities offer free excursions. The website FreeTour.com is devoted to them and may assist you in finding a free walking tour in more than 100 different nations. Now, it’s important to remember that “free” doesn’t necessarily mean entirely free. Although they are not paid, the tour guide who shows you and your group about the city will welcome a tip.

These tours can be a pleasant way to travel and meet new people because they are safe; since the guides enjoy chatting with guests and sharing the city’s hidden gems. You’ll be surprised by the information about the location you learn.

Find some free live music in your area

On particular evenings of the week, many clubs, pubs, and even diners will book a band or other musician to increase business. The venue covers the cost of the musical act. Therefore there is no cost to you. Searching for “free live music near me” on Google will yield a list of options for locating free live music. Additionally, you may ask the locals where they like to go to hear live music. Of course, most hotel concierges will be pleased to provide you with more information.

Play a few games.

We don’t allow much time for family pleasure because we are so preoccupied with work, social media, paying bills, and other stresses of a hectic existence. Going on vacation allows you to emotionally and physically get away from these distractions. So why not take a few hours to review the fundamental games, maybe play charades or any online casino game?

Collect free mementos

Spending a few hours looking for free souvenirs you can take home is a terrific way to spend some time with the family or have alone time. The most apparent souvenirs to take home from a beach are shells, sand, rocks, etc.

If you’re in a more urban area, free matchbooks from bars and hotels are great keepsakes. Some folks even amass menus or drink coasters. Others prefer to be resourceful and inquire about free samples at confectioneries or discounted supplies at craft shops. The possibilities are endless as long as you are not stealing something of worth without authorization.

Conclusion

If your flight has been canceled or you’re waiting to board the train to reach your destination, playing casino games is a great way to pass the time. The online casino itself is the key secret to having fun while gambling. While a poor casino might provide hours of worry and hassle, a good casino can provide entertainment.

Along with all your favorite pleasures, playing arabic casino games while on vacation is a simple way to have fun.

WunderLocke Penthouse Suite via 360 MAGAZINE

WunderLocke Penthouse Suites

WunderLocke unveils design-led Rooftop and Penthouse Suites

Located in Sendling, Munich, newly opened aparthotel WunderLocke by pioneering lifestyle brand Locke, has unveiled its seventh floor rooftop suites and impressive Penthouse Suites. The 360-apartment destination is ideally located in the up-and-coming neighbourhood of Sendling and brings a hospitality concept like no other to the Bavarian capital. WunderLocke provides suites for leisure and business travellers alike, offering eleven one-bedroom open plan suites, three two-bedroom penthouse suites, and the WunderLocke Penthouse Suite.

The design of the seventh-floor suites was overseen by renowned interior architects Holloway Li who took advantage of the striking views of the alps. The impressive 126sqm WunderLocke Penthouse Suite boasts an expansive stand-alone bathtub, offering guests the ultimate relaxation. The colour scheme throughout is anchored by natural earth tones and rich botanical greens, with biophilic insertions and natural materials creating a feeling of serenity. Munich-based multidisciplinary artist Monika Morito was also commissioned to paint a small mural in sunset tones which features in the space. In addition, the WunderLocke Penthouse Suite features its own private terrace complete with a jacuzzi configured to maximise and amplify its unique setting, while the 100sqm Two Bedroom Penthouse Suite features spectacular city views. Both penthouse suites also feature separate living quarters, an eight-person dining table, and two king-size beds in two separate bedrooms. In signature Locke style, both penthouse suites include a fully-equipped kitchen complete with a microwave oven, dishwasher, washer/dryer and cooking gear.

This was our first opportunity to design Penthouse suites for Locke and we were spoiled by the panoramic views the building afforded. Our design scheme for the penthouses chimed with the overall concept for WunderLocke, both paying homage to the heritage of the host building by retaining the exposed concrete shell and using natural materials as well as a thoughtful colour palette and greenery to provide a fitting counterpoint to the machine-age setting of the space. We hope the spaces provide both a sense of renewal as well as a connection to the wonderful surrounding city.”- Alex Holloway, Creative Director and Co-Founder of Holloway Li.

For the seventh-floor suites, Holloway Li mirrored the landscape of the alps in the distance to the lateral flow of the apartments. The 31m² Rooftop One Bedroom Open Plan Suites are complete with rooftop terraces, living spaces and fully equipped kitchens complete with dining tables and more.

For The WunderLocke Penthouse Suite and the Rooftop One Bedroom Open Plan Suites  featuring splendid terraces, Holloway Li worked with artist Claire de Quénetain to create bespoke fabrics for each of the external terrace loungers; her painterly illustrations take inspiration from natural settings and provide the perfect counterpoint to the building’s industrial past.

All seventh floor suites along with the WunderLocke Penthouse Suite feature Locke’s signature perks, including air conditioning, a power shower with Kinsey Apothecary toiletries, blackout curtains, private, superfast Wi-Fi, a Smart HDTV with Chromecast, a separate living area and a fully-equipped kitchen, microwave oven, dishwasher, washer/dryer. The urban roof garden, opening in Spring 2023, will also be accessible from the seventh floor.

WunderLocke’s size and location allowed us to really expand on our suite offerings, providing a private sanctuary for our guests where they can enjoy an elevated experience in our spectacular suites with unrivalled views of the alps and city.” Eric Jafari, Chief Development Officer & Creative Director, edyn.

Lifestyle aparthotel brand Locke opened WunderLocke in July 2022, continuing its European expansion. The property includes 360 spacious design-led apartments, a large co-working area, meeting and event spaces as well as an outdoor heated swimming pool, sauna and workout studio and a food and drink concept unparalleled in Germany in the form of ‘Mural Farmhouse’: five food and drink destinations spread across seven floors conceived by the founders of revered local Michelin-starred restaurant, Mural.

The Two Bedroom Penthouse Suite starts from €450, the WunderLocke Penthouse Suite starts from €520, the Two Bedroom Suites starts from €275 and the Rooftop One Bedroom Open Plan Suites starts from €150.

"Big Ben" by Jack Inglis via 360 MAGAZINE

Rare sculpture of Big Ben on auction

FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS

Rare sculpture of Big Ben heads to auction

A rare scale model of ‘Big Ben‘ commissioned by the British Travel and Holidays Association in 1965 to promote Britain in America, is to be offered at auction. The world-recognised clock tower at the Palace of Westminster was chosen as the iconic symbol of the country abroad and

The model was to be used for promotional purposes. While the tower is known colloquially as ‘Big Ben’, the name actually applies to the ‘Great Bell’ contained within the tower but is usually extended to include the tower itself. The official name of the tower in which ‘Big Ben’ is located was called the ‘Clock Tower’, until 2012 when it was renamed the ‘Elizabeth Tower’ to mark the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The 99.5cm high model was produced by stage designer-turned model-maker Jack Inglis in his London ‘Toltec Studio’ and came complete with a working clock, light and its own bespoke travelling case. The model took six weeks to make and was entirely crafted by hand from wood and paper, with hand painted finishing.

Correspondence between the Association and the sculptor details the requested specifications, such as: “I would like it accurately to scale” and “coloured as the original”, with an “operative parliamentary light and clock”. A Daily Express article from 1972 features the sculptor with his handcrafted model, alongside the real-life ‘Big Ben’ on Westminster Bridge, where he’s introduced as creating ‘masterpieces of realism from balsa and card.’ The article goes on to say that perhaps the most flattering testimonial to his talents came from the keeper of Tower Bridge, who when shown a photograph of the model adamantly refused to believe it wasn’t the real thing.

Senior Valuer, British and European Sculpture at Dreweatts, Silas Currie Leigh-Wood says: “We are delighted to offer such a fine example of model making craftmanship, depicting one of London’s most iconic buildings”. The model was given to the current owner directly by the sculptor for his birthday 17 years ago and has remained in its’ box all of this time.

It will be offered for auction at Dreweatts in a sale titled Property from the Phillip Lucas Collection, Spitalfields House and other Properties including Garden Furniture and Statuary on December 1, 2022 and carries an estimate of £800-£1,200 (lot 655).

LHCA × Textile Exchange: Definition of "Leather" via 360 MAGAZINE

LHCA × Textile Exchange: Definition of “Leather”

U.S. Leather Industry Applauds Adoption of ‘Leather’ Definition by Textile Exchange

The Leather and Hide Council of America (LHCA), the trade body representing the U.S. hide, skin, and leather industry, applauds fashion industry standards and certification organization Textile Exchange for its recent adoption of an official definition of “leather” as a material created from the hide or skin of an animal. LHCA encourages other organizations and companies in the fashion and footwear sectors to follow suit in order to encourage increased transparency in materials labeling.

According to a statement issued to its membership on Thursday, November 3rd, 2022, Textile Exchange adopted widespread legal terminology for the definition of ‘leather,’ noting that it is aligning  with the EU directive 94/11/EC, ISO 15115, and EN 15987:2015, which state that “leather” is defined as “a hide or skin with its original fibrous structure more or less intact and tanned so it does not rot.”

“This is a significant step forward in market transparency and consumer labeling,” said Stephen Sothmann, President of the Leather and Hide Council of America. “For too long, fashion and footwear brands have hidden the true materials profile of their products from consumers by using ambiguous and misleading terms such as ‘vegan leather.’ We thank Textile Exchange for taking such an important step to promote truth in labeling and hope the organization’s member brands will embrace increased transparency in consumer marketing.”

Textile Exchange’s notice further stated “Materials that do not meet the definition above will not be described by Textile Exchange as leather, regardless of any past designation or common usage of the term.” This decision impacts the labeling of products on the market typically described a “vegan leather,” “mushroom leather,” “fruit leather,” and other derivatives made primarily of plastics, plants, fungi, and a wide range other materials that are often not disclosed to consumers.

A July 2022 consumer survey conducted in the United Kingdom found that 54% of consumers were confused by marketing terminology such as “vegan leather” and could not properly identify the material’s composition.

ABOUT LHCA

The Leather and Hide Council of America (LHCA) is a full-service industry trade association representing the entire U.S. leather supply chain, including meatpackers, hides and skins processors, traders, leather tanners, finished leather goods producers, footwear companies, and more.  The association provides its members with government, public relations, and international trade assistance and support. LHCA is a cooperator organization under the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s foreign market development programs, assisting U.S. firms develop new markets for U.S. agricultural exports.

Yoga Vs. Pilates

Yoga Vs. Pilates – What is the most popular fitness class in the country?

  • Yoga is the most popular fitness class across America, with 16 states searching for Yoga classes more than any other fitness class.
  • Pilates is the second most popular, with 11 states searching for ‘Pilates classes’ the most.
  • Zumba is the country’s third most popular fitness class, especially across the West.

New study reveals the most Googled fitness class in each state, with Yoga taking the top spot, followed by Pilates.

The research, conducted by fitness experts Fitness Volt, analyzed Google Trends data to discover the most Googled fitness classes in each state over the past year, to determine which was more popular across the country – Yoga or Pilates

Yoga is the most popular fitness class in America by some distance, according to the research. Yoga is the most searched-for fitness class in 16 states, including Arkansas, California, and Illinois. Yoga is especially favored in the Northeast, as states such as New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts all search for Yoga more than any other fitness class.

The second most Googled fitness class across the country is Pilates. Pilates has surged in popularity over recent years and currently receives 9,000 average searches a month across the country for the phrase ‘Pilates classes’. Pilates is the most Googled fitness class in 11 different states, including Florida, Oklahoma, and Washington.

The research revealed that Zumba ranks closely behind Pilates as the country’s third most popular fitness class. A total of ten states search for Zumba classes more than any other fitness class, such as Kansas and Alabama, and the popular dancing workout also receives 12,000 average monthly searches for the term ‘Zumba classes’. Zumba classes also ranked particularly popular across the West, as states such as Colorado, Idaho, and Wyoming all search for Zumba the most.

BodyPump follows as the fourth most Googled fitness class across the country, with a total of six states searching for it more than any other fitness class. BodyPump is a fast-paced, barbell-based workout specifically intended to help people get toned, lean, and fit. This workout class is most popular in the West, ranking number one in states such as Nevada, Utah, and New Mexico.

The fifth most popular fitness class across the country is Boxing. Four states search for Boxing classes more than any other fitness class and the term ‘Boxing classes’ receives a huge 20,000 average monthly searches across the country. Boxing also ranked particularly popular across the Southeast, as states such as North Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia all search for Boxing classes the most.

A total of three states search for Aerobics classes more than any other class, making it the sixth most Googled fitness class across the country. These states include Michigan, Missouri, and South Carolina.

A spokesperson for Fitness Volt commented on the study: “The popularity of fitness classes first became apparent in the 1970s and are still as popular as they have ever been today, with people eager to reap the benefits of a workout in the form of organized group exercise.

This data offers an interesting insight into which fitness classes are the most popular across the country, with the unwavering popularity of Yoga showing no signs of slowing down, although the popularity of Pilates is definitely on the rise.”

After Maestro Jason Ikeem Rodgers led the Orchestra in a traditional symphony overture written specially for the evening, award-winning Parisian violinist Mapy took to the stage to perform a medley of hits, including Rihanna’s “Rude Boy,” Beyoncé’s “Crazy in Love, Sister Nancy’s “Bam Bam,” and Usher’s “You Make Me Wanna.” Next up, acclaimed ensemble Sainted Trap Choir blessed the crowd with a soulful set of hip-hop covers that paid homage to the spirit of the evening.

The biggest boss himself, multi-platinum superstar and rap icon Rick Ross, then brought the house down with an hour-long set of 26 of his greatest hits, including “Aston Martin Music,” “Devil is a Lie,” “I’m a Boss,” “Hustlin,” and “Stay Schemin,” which he dedicated to late rapper Takeoff. With DJ Sam Sneak on the tables, Ross had the crowd on their feet all night, concluding with an epic version of “God Did” that included an appearance by both Mapy and Sainted Trap Choir.
